How come the Lennox Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko fight didn't go to the scorecards if it went 6 rounds?

That’s quite some thumb and head to cause three separate cuts that need a total of sixty stitches and plastic surgeries.

 

It would have been nice to see the fight play out without that cut.

Accidental headbutts happen all the time. Lewis would have had to repeatedly and cleanly headbutt Vitali to cause cuts that many and that severe.

Even Vitali himself never said Lewis fought dirty and headbutted him repeatedly. He said there was one headbutt, and never said it was intentional either. That's not in line with your claims whatsoever - and again, that's even if we assume that there was any headbutting indeed (highly debatable).

Where did I say headbutts caused any of the cuts? I said headbutts cause more cuts in boxing than punches do. As for intentional, unless one is a mind reader, intentional is pure guesswork. I said the main cut was caused by a punch that missed, except for the thumb, to elaborate. Lewis then dug his dreads in on every clinch and split that thing wide open.
