Franklin's competitiveness vs Whyte (I thought he should have got the decision) was more a sign of the decline of Whyte than the quality of Franklin. Even Joshua 0.3 would knock him out...
Short heavyweights without much power are tailor made for Joshua ? idk man that sounds a bit like Ruiz We all know what happened then
Eddie Hearn is putting Anthony Joshua back in his test tube wrapped in cotton wool ready for whatever belts come vacant in 2023 post Fury Usyk. Joshua actually has some long range ability unlike Whyte/Chisora. Franklin needs a little more expierance.
AJ was in the front row last night, sitting next to Hearn. He looked shocked. I can lip read, he said to Eddie "Wow both these guys are great but I probably can beat them". Hearn said "Mate, Whyte will win the decision, trust me it's all set".
Eddie Hearn will use his money power to get someone stripped of a belt, then AJ can fight Whyte for the World Championship of boxing. There will be a rematch, so that will be two packed Wembley events right there. Maybe Franklin can fight the first defence after the historic AJ-Whyte trilogy is complete, as long as he signs with Matchroom.
People saying a faded whyte like he was ever any good and or better! He's always been faded, he just made a name for himself by getting the wbc position after fighting a few average fighters and then he never shutup about it until he got ko'd, oh no, sorry, he still kept on and felt entitled after pov sparked him didnt he... The time he got showreel KO'd again after that other time he got showreel KO'd, you know, that time when fury hardly caught him amd he never knew where he was for months after lol Average at best
Whyte had a bad night and Fury pushed him! in the words of Whyte "He's not good he's just big" Fury got a 254 pound man crying that he is too big lol. Guy knew he was beaten before he even signed the contract, excuses are so lame.
Both of them knock the bodybuilder out. You don't need to be any good to render joshua unconscious. He's not a proper boxer My mechanic could beat joshua
What the **** is wrong with you, seriously? Did you fall down and hit your head? I'm not even close to a fan of Anthony Joshua, in fact, I may be his P4P biggest hater on the site. Franklin doesn't see round 5 against Joshua. Listen really close and comprehend what I'm going to tell you. AJ has twice lost to Oleksandr Usyk. I'll repeat that...... Oleksandr Usyk. In case you didn't hear me the first two times, I'll say it a third time.... Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk is like Mayweather, there's no shame in losing to him, most do and will. SO AJ losing to him twice, in the grand scheme of things... means NOTHING. So not just anyone beats Anthony Joshua, and the mere fact that AJ-Fury and AJ-Wilder are still considered 50-50 fights by most intelligent boxing fans, tells you all you need to know about what level he's operating on. Yes, Ruiz beat him, yes.. I predicted Ruiz would beat him, due to hand speed, decent power and counter punching abilities. But still AJ lost, partially due to his overconfidence after he had him hurt. It's happened to countless fighters before, and will again. Hell, it happened to Gorman just Saturday. Regardless, Ruiz and Ortiz who he recently struggled with would also beat Franklin. Not sure if you've noticed it or not, when it's a match that Dillian Whyte isn't enthusiastic about, he usually turns in a subpar, occasionally laborious effort. He did the same thing with Dave Allen, Robert Helenius and Mariusz Wach, which arguably could've been a draw. Now, did Whyte look far worse the other day than he usually does when he looks subpar? Absolutely. Half of that is because he's nearing the end of his career, the other reason is, Buddy McGirt is a terrible trainer for him. Whyte wasn't being Whyte in there, he was attempting to box at range, and that's not a great idea against a guy with decent defense and good hand speed. However the moment Whyte stopped listening to Buddy, stopped dicking around and went for it in the 12th, he had Franklin reeling, badly hurt and all over the ring. Had the match continued another 30 seconds, he'd have probably stopped him. Yes, I scored the match in Franklin's favor, but that has more to do with what Whyte didn't do than what Franklin did do. That was a bored, passionless, lethargic shell of a man, half assing it, and he still probably did enough to get a draw. The AJ that lost to Usyk twice, were the two best versions we've ever seen of AJ. He performed brilliantly against Usyk, actually managed to impress me of all people. That AJ beats 90% of Heavyweights, maybe even more. The only people I'd favor to beat him aside from Fury and Wilder, is Joyce, and stylistically, Michael Hunter. And I still consider all 4 matches 60/40 or 50/50 type affairs. The rest get brutally KO'd. Now, do a few of the heavier handed Heavies stand a puncher's chance? Sure, it is Heavyweight boxing after all. But Franklin doesn't even have that going for him. He stands no chance.
He couldn't stop Whyte who's chin is so bad it makes Joshua's look good, so I don't rate the chances of this tubby American pulling off a miracle and KOing Joshua like Ruiz did. Joshua probably KO's him inside 6 rounds.
HW division seems to invite the most fickle of eye tests. A fat man with breasts narrowly loses to another fat man with breasts in a fight of almost incomprehensible mediocrity and all of a sudden a boxer who's gone 24 rounds with a generational talent becomes their cannon fodder...
