Great card in Russia on December 11th

Calling it great is a bit of a stretch. Zhora vs Linares is the only interesting fight.

 

Pass. Or HIMAR.

 

Several good A-side fighters...but they are mostly matched against scruffy opponents.

 

Linares needs to retire.

Linares chin has become a weakness as he's aged. He was winning his last fight on his opponent's turf when he was stopped in the 12th round by a not particularly hard hitting Abdullaev. That had to really sting and I admire Linares for finding the will power to train and fight again. All of that being said, I do hope he retires soon. He is taking more and more punishment with each fight.

 

Hardly a great card. Has the looks of a Fury undercard.

 

Linares has only won 3 of his last 7, while getting KO'd three times. Time to hang em up, champ.
