Nobody's knocking Povetkin's victory over Whyte, it was groovy triumph for know-how over relative youth and brawn. Far as I can see, @Redbeard7 didn't introduce these petty and largely meaningless triangles to the conversation, he just responded to them in kind, cf. "It's easy to play that game".
I mostly see him responding to vastly exaggerated and hypocritical repudiations of Wilder's value as a scalp on Fury's record, for instance. I don't think he's promoting the idea that the triangle theory is an infallible argument in and of itself, but rather defeating other posters by their own logic (see @Mitch87) or extracting suggestive trends from collation of triangles to challenge certain narratives that are popular in these parts. Refer to his first post in this very thread. If some villagers believe him a monster of sorts, they're nonetheless responsible for having created him.
