Fury has been longing for that Chisora fight for so long. He never gave the impression he wanted to fight Usyk. From following Fury for years its easy to tell. Makes no sense for Usyk to duck Fury. He' s on a mission. He announces he wants some time off and suddenly Fury wants that fight in december, then AJ, only to circle bsck to his prefered soft touch and friend, Chisora. That he's doing this give me little hope we will see Fury vs Usyk anytime soon. It proves he prefers to wallow in celeb status, laziness, coke addiction and other hedonistic bs. I hope he finds his balls and fight Usyk in the first half of next year though. Time will tell.
Literally did not happen. It is demonstrably provable that the fight was being discussed between the camps for December up until Usyk's September 2 announcement put the ultimate kibosh on the idea. Those discussions were even taking place during the build-up to Usyk-Joshua II. Saying that Usyk turned down December for the sake of R&R is not tantamount to saying he ducked. It's an acceptable reason for delaying the bout. There may be a handful of posters here taking pleasure in characterizing it as a duck, but that's much more a reaction in kind to wholly unreasonable accusations from the other side than anything. As the youths say these days, Quit Cappin'.
And we can't have that. Fury has to lose or 2023 is ruined for BF24 General's vocal moral consensus.
Exactly. People forget that he was always going to fight a light touch. When he comes out of retirment he said he want to have trilogy with Chisora. Chisora refused cause of low offer and Fury retired again. He was never going to fight Usyk or a live dog in December. Let's not forget his antics that he wanted 500millions, then he don't want to face Usyk, and he want AJ for feee, and he calls Usyk for the December fight only when Usyk made the interview in his home he will recover till the end of the year and so on.
Should have just skipped this fight, had a break, trained hard and fought Usyk. Would have saved a lot of damage to his reputation. The problem is that the AJ fans are clowns who Hearn manipulates like children and so even though it was obvious Hearn-J were looking for a way out, it was spun to look like Fury ducked the fight he offered. Then he chose Chisora who has no right to this title fight, adding fuel to the argument he ducks AJ etc. for easy opponents. Terrible management and promotional work.
Whilst I agree with some of this, if the Usyk fight gets announced - likely at the Chisora fight, I don't see how any of this was a bad thing.... This Chisora fight is not a blocker for the Usyk fight, they could not make the Usyk fight for December because Usyk said he wasn't going to be ready until next year. I guess more than anything, it highlights how many of the boxing fans on social media lack any critical thinking skills...
It's going to be fun watching your back pedalling when the Usyk fight gets announced and then even better when Fury stops him.
I don't mind him taking an easier fight but choosing an opponent he's beaten twice who has lost 3 of his last 4 bouts is taking the ****.
And now Fury says he is going to have 12 fights all over the world in as many months... I'm sick to death of his lies. They're so obviously lies that people see right through them so why does he keep coming out with rubbish like this??
He calls himself the People's Champion but lies to boxing fans all the time. I think it's understandable to be angry if he treats fans this way.
