 nice one TT. Some here act as if one has to be a 4 time champ and top 3 p4P boxer to allow fans. Whatevs. Some of my faves were not considered elite or top tier.

Of recent vintage, Edgar "The Chosen One" Berlanga was extraordinarily overhyped.

    Canelo for sure

    AJ for sure

Next are Fury and Spence if they find balls to fight best in their division

Exactly. Everyone is just going to mention fighters that they don't like.

There's a massive difference between a hype job and a fraud. A hype job is a good fighter that didn't live up to what their promoter and fanbase was selling them as. A fraud is a complete bum with a built up record that gets badly exposed when they fight a live opponent.

He was the first guy that popped into my head. I have no idea to this day why people picked him to beat Calzaghe.

Not me - there are virtually no fighters that I don't like.

Anyway anyone remember Francisco Bojado? He was really hyped up & with good reason, the guy could crack! He was very explosive and seemed a perfect 'tv' fighter, but he walked away quickly after he lost and ended up with not even 20, 25 fights total maybe? Anyone know the story on him?

Someone that also quickly came to mind is Tony Ayala Jr. He certainly seemed to have an excellent future & was looking the real deal before he blew it, the scumbag.
