Broner stands out for me. Yeah he won multiple world titles which is some achievement I guess, though against weak opposition. But this guy was ranked in the top 10 P4P at one point, I think The Ring has him at 6 at one point. Then to see him get his ass whooped by Maidana was very satisfying that image of him being led out of the arena looking like a lost little boy was perfect.

I remember reading Fernando Vargas saying Bojado was lazy.

Broner was beaten by Malignaggi in the fight before the official loss to Maidana. However Malignaggi was on the tail end of his career and Broner was the next big thing so the score cards went in his favour .

Thats not how i remember it but even if that is true it does not take away from what he did before.Tyson was supposed to annihilate Douglas so was he overhyped?

    Khan

He had a decent run under roach, but he's mostly a hype train

The bodybuilder is another obvious choice

Regarding Dubois, i think he has plenty of time to improve & has plenty of chances to get better in the future going forward, in that fight barring his eye being damaged he wasn't too bad, he was also landing very good hard punches on Joyce, it's just that Joyce's chin & especially his durability was greater, which we have now since found out even more as his competition has risen,

It wasn't just a one sided fight there, in fact if his orbital didn't break who knows how the scorecards could've have turned out barring that they both went the full distance.

That's just the norm, i mean it is the UK after all, where you faint, jab, run, clinch while the commentator's declare it a masterpiece while orgasming.

Tyson didn't scurry into retirement at the first taste of defeat. Plenty on here (not me) constantly state Tyson was overrated. Many in this thread.

At the time, I remember Jeff Lacy was very hyped when he got battered by Calzaghe. He was an unbeaten, supposedly hard hitting American but got completely schooled and didn't even win a round.

You missed my point you say because Naz was supposed to annihilate Barrera he was overhyped but Tyson losing to Douglas is not judged the same.Complete rubbish i rate both fighters as ATGs
