You yourself know the answer to your question.

I often think back on the 1990s, lots of big PPV nights on Sky Box Office priced at 12.95 and 14.95

"A long good friday", "War of the worlds". Just to name a few examples. Great Nights !

Boxers of a certain calibre would have to negotiate in accordance with its non-PPV status. They wouldn't just sit on their arse on strike for a decade without boxing, or move into a 9-5 job or a night shift security role. People like Chisora, Smith etc. would have to accept handsome mid-high five-figure, or low six-figure imbursements which is far more than they are worth for the entertainment that they provide, in truth.

Only six PPV's on Sky in the 90's. Hamed a bit of a joke, in my opinion, but the other three are worthy of PPV.

Non title fights such as Eubank v Smith should never be Box Office.

If Charlatan Eubank Jnr won't fight without PPV Loot, then the boxing public will hardly notice if he did not fight.

Box Office should be for Elite v Elite World Title Fights only.

No bigger than the fight coming up on Channel 5 on Friday between Josh Kelly and Troy Williamson.

The fight friday night on channel 5 is definitely good and I'm looking forward to watching it, but Eubank Jr vs Smith is probably a bit bigger if we're being fair ?

By the way, Channel 5 is a fantastic tv platform. 1,9 million viewers watched Wasserman's latest event with Harlem Eubank.

Eubank JR is only box office with English involved.

He is a big child. And one that struggles a lot in the big, bad adult World:

And he'll struggle way more in a few years time when this road comes to an end. We should all remember that whilst we bag on him constantly. He's not made for this level of society, he pretends he is, but the disguise is awful and transparent.

P.S. The fight this weekend is crap and I won't be buying it even as a full card carrying casual.

So basically as Chisora has said today in the presser. Fury called him up and said "I want to give you a payday".

Hope this PPV bombs. Cnts. Why not just give him 2mil and forget doing this farce.

He's literally saying this man (Fury) is putting food on my kids table.

I love the "food on the table" rationale from professional sportspeople.

    Timestamped

Fury's most charismatic moment? Possibly. He's incredibly smooth. He had the press worked up into a frenzy.

Maybe I’m a fool, but I really think this could be the fight where so many people say ‘enough’ that a lot of money is lost.

Really embarrassing press conference. Was Paul Dempsey drunk or had someone sedated him?
