But did all the others only take the fights @ Vegas with their pet judges, overlooking 2 drug offences & getting 6 month...for clarity they want to hand a 4 yr ban (Quite righty) to Conner Benn...but 6 months to a fighter who fights twice a year...lol all good eh? He's crawling scum that drags this sport to the Gutter...

Bivol is too skilled for Canelo even at that weight.

None of what you have posted has anything to do with my point & opinion that Bivol should put his belt on the line if a rematch with Canelo happens at 168 like other fighters have done throughout the sports history. You have already disagreed with my opinion but you are introducing arguments that have no relevance on my point of discussion

What does, where others have fought have to do with my opinion that Bivol should put his belt on the line at a lower weight if a rematch with Canelo occurs at 168?
What does, Canelo's failed tests & ban & Benn's potential ban have to do with my opinion that Bivol should put his belt on the line at a lower weight if a rematch with Canelo occurs at 168?
What does, your opinion of Canelo have to do with my opinion that Bivol should put his belt on the line at a lower weight if a rematch with Canelo occurs at 168?

You don't agree with my opinion that Bivol should put his belt on the line if a rematch with Canelo occurs at 168, calling it nonsense & you are entitled to your opinion. End of discussion.

As to your of topic arguments you introduced:

It seems you are implying Canelo only takes fights in Vegas. Has he not fought elsewhere?
Many fighters have received favorable judging throughout the sports history. I don't like it but I can only score a fight how I see it
Many fighters have failed drug tests, some have even been allowed to proceed with fights & not received a ban at all. Personally I think there should be a minimum 2 year ban for a failed drug test. Nowhere did I say Canelo's 6 month ban was "all good"
I can think of worse fighters that have dragged the sport to the gutter by their actions

Clenelo is Pastor Dmitry's property. It's a father and son relationship. Clenelo belongs to him and therefore so do all of his belts. When a father buys his son a bike technically speaking it's the son's bike. However, the father can take the bike back anytime he likes and there ain't a goddamn thing the son can do about it.

What's he gonna do? Call the Babylon?

Officer my daddy stole my bicycle :risas3:

    Beat his daddy up? :risas3:

Stay in your lane, Ginger Whinger, or Pastor Dimtry will go full Eurasian god mode on your freckled ass next time

If Bivol makes 168 and is weight drained, gets beat, Bivol should not lose the belts he successfully defended against Canelo at light heavy, where he has proven he is a MUCH better man than Canelo.

A fight at 168lb is just a test of Bivol and Canelo at that weight. They already tested themselves at LH..

Why on earth would Bivol lose his 175 lb belts fighting at 168? Bivol just wants a payday, as clear as day. Canelo should just say no.

I respect your opinion, for me though I feel that any time a champion fights at or under their weight limit their title should be on the line. If they don't won't their title on the line, then fight over the weight limit in my opinion. If Bivol chooses to take a rematch with Canelo at 168 then it is his responsibility to make weight comfortably, if his team don't think he can do it without compromising himself then he should reject the 168 weight limit & request a rematch be at 175.

I'd just prefer a rematch to be at 175, then the winner can look at an undisputed fight with Beterbiev. If Canelo somehow wins a rematch against Bivol at 168 & then starts talking about fighting Beterbiev, it won't be for undisputed because Bivol would still hold a portion of the 175 title. I think Bivol beats Canelo at either weight in a rematch, so an undisputed fight with Beterbiev is still a possibility but I am just musing on potential future possibilities

Bivol could choose to put his belt on the line at a lower weight like other fighters have throughout history. No one is saying he has to, only that it is a possibility

Yeah, I guess. I don't pay attention to belts really but if you could give me some examples of fighters doing it in a big fight, I'm all ears.

I have already given examples in this thread. A recent one was Davis vs Santa Cruz, a more popular one is Leonard vs Lalonde, Ross vs Canzoneri, Canzoneri vs Kid Chocolate, Canzoneri vs Berg for example

SRL Lalonde was a joke and we all know that. Interesting about Davis - But it's all a technicality, as long as Tank doesn't weigh over it's all fair really, their belt their choice.

I completely forgot the JR weight class came along that early, even though they could make the original 8 classes no problem, but again if they sign on why not? Of course everyone who dislikes Canelo will down him even though it's Bivol on his hands and knees begging.

Well technically as long as he doesn't weigh over 175 he can fight wherever with belts on the line. He doesn't seem like an overly massive guy who cutts weight
