Brandon Glanton (17-0 14 KOs) of Efe Apochi cruiserweight slugfest fame will be facing top New Zealand prospect David Light (19-0 12 KOs) in Plant City, Florida for the WBO Global and WBO International Cruiserweight title, practically an opportunity to seal a title eliminator if not a title shot. I expect my boy Glanton to get the job done here in typically entertaining style.

Cheers for the correction, I didn't pay close enough attention to the flag clearly!

Make or break fight for Light here. His career has stagnated a bit with the pandemic and a few injury problems.

Can't say I have seen Glanton fight yet but have heard of him. Could give Light some massive problems as I'm still unsold on Lights punch resistance as he has been hurt in multiple fights in his career so far by much lower level opposition too. Hopefully Light can come through it.

This is Glanton in one of the best fights you'll ever see. Enjoy the majesty of a true slugfest from massive dudes.

Just a friendly reminder that this guaranteed banger of a WBO cruiserweight final eliminator is on tomorrow. Lock and load boys, I swear down that this will be a wild one!

Props! I didn't even realise Light was fighting. He's due for some international coverage, so this is awesome.
I've followed David through his career as an amateur, so I hope he can make a good go as a pro. He's one of the last remaining names from the group that included Parker, Tai, Berridge, Papuni, Morgan and many more.

    Let's goooooo!

Glanton's fight with Apochi was epic. Light has been putting together a nice run but I don't think his level of opposition has been outstanding. I think Glanton will prove to be a level above Light in this one. Good match-up on paper though

I think apochi made him look good in there. His defence was atrocious. Don't sleep on Light, he's tough. If he can avoid some of those shots Light will land and will look to break Glanton down. Tough fight to pick but I'm going Light by late stoppage.

I'm leaning towards Glanton winning - but aside from the hard-hitting Apochi - Glanton's own opposition is nothing much.

I don't think much of Glanton either, but his fight with Apochi was epic to watch. I just think Glanton is slightly better than Light

Glanton seems to be a good power pressure type of fighter. But the cruiserweight division is very shallow in the Western Hemisphere right now, so it's hard to know how truly good he is. Light is only the 2nd meaningful opponent he has faced.

Agreed again, although depending on your definition of meaningful you could say that Glanton is Light's 1st meaningful opponent he has faced
