I’m surprised I haven’t seen any posts on this one yet, or maybe I missed them, but probably about as 50/50 as it gets. Who you got and how?
Bivol has better defense and movement, but Gvozdyk hit harder and was an incredible athlete. Hard to call.
Gvozdyk was an excellent fighter but he had a short career & bowed out after one loss. Ended Stevenson's reign but other than that there isn't much else and Stevenson was pretty old by then. Not seen enough from Gvozdyk to suggest he could solve Bivol who is top 3 p4p right now imo.. I hate Canelo cucks too.
Gvodzyk was very emotional when fighting with pressure Bivol is cold as ice, he can handle big pressure and always go with the gameplan. Altough, Gvodzyk hits harder than Bivol and can trouble any LHW for couple of rounds, I don't think he can UD him, let alone KO him
He brutally KO'd Stevenson in the 11th, nearly killing him in the process. Gvozdyk is stilla vicious puncher late. Bivol won't be wearing him down with body work like Beterbie did, so I have no doubt he could get to Bivol, who's been hurt by grazing shots from Smith and a looping overhand from Pascal.
His team would come up with good gameplan, like always. For me, it's all about how you can handle pressure and as we saw, Gvodzyk was not that good at that. There are talks, that he can return somewhere in the middle of the 2023, so Bivol vs Gvodzyk is still a possibility. If he returns, he should fight Richards, let's see if he can handle spider better than Bivol did.
Going with the nail here. Beterbiev is a very rare breed and has game changing power and a relentlessness like Marciano. That’s what it took to beat The Nail. It won’t happen again imo. VERY competitive fight but Gvozdyk’s right hand is a few levels harder than anything Canelo has and will find the mark on Bivol more and more after The Nail decodes him. I think it goes to the cards with Dimitri having to get up off the deck for the first time in his career. The Nail by competitive but clear UD
