I didn't think the trilogy was quite as memorable as some of the ATG trilogies like Bowe/Holyfield, Barrera/Morales, Ali/Frazier, Bowe/Holyfield, Gatti/Ward, Harding/Andries, or Marquez/Pacquiao, Vasquez/Marquez, if you want to count them.

Overall i think every fight in Gonzalez/Estrada trilogy was consistently very good, with the 3rd fight being the worst of the trilogy. But i don't think any of the fights quite reached the heights of the some of most memorable fights of some of the best trilogies in history.

All 3 fights were filled with action and violence, but lacked any drama. Neither guy managed to visibly hurt the other and no one registered a KD. Kinda weird.

Middle of the pack, I suppose.

Yeah thats how i see it TBH action wise very consistent with high quality skills on display. But no real standout rounds or any big drama moments or knockdowns for that matter.

Is it really surprising or weird that two fighters with the skeletons of an 11-year-old boy couldn't hurt each other or break a wet piece of paper?

Yeah they either hit like my niece or they are made out of iron? Ironboys? Either way, bottom of the barrel really - Even though I'm having a hard time thinking of another. Oddly enough, Chisora - Fury was another lackluster trilogy just before they fought yesterday. So I'd say a level above that, maybe in the Fury/Wilder level of trilogies.

2500 punches launched in the 2nd fight. Many of then fully loaded up haymakers. And nobody goes down. How soft do you have to hit that clean haymakers cant drop a dwarf?

Well, Barrera/Morales no one was dropped.

Morales was dropped in the 12th of the first fight. And the same sort of principle applies to the Barrera/Morales fights. Though they are both bigger than Gonzalez Estrada, they are both pretty damn small. No way two elite MWs or higher could bang on each other like that and they remain standing.

In the 1st fight there was a official knockdown in the 12 round, although it appeared it wasn't actually a knockdown. But Morales vs Barrera had more big moments and more memorable rounds for me anyway.

He wasn't dropped. He basically ran into Marco's hip. Should not have been a KD, the punch clearly missed.

It was also awesome that they really did not like eachother.

I thought it was a legit KD. Though Morales mostly succumbed to accumulation and took a knee, he wasnt floored, but he had no choice, but to take a knee and regroup.

Clearly a superior one which was lucky to come about. Less time between fights 2 and 3 likely improve it.

Regarding the lack of 'drama', a factor is how defensively good they both are. Each had to get creative to land significant shots.
