I also don't want to alarm you but I want to give you a wake up call. Tony Bellew was outboxing Usyk and was ahead on the scorecards until he was knocked out. And that was Bellew right at the end of his career. A washed Bellew. Usyk has 0 chance in knocking Fury out. And if old washed Tony Bellend can outbox Usyk then Fury sure as hell can. Hurr durr Fury uppercut himself a thousand years ago and thus Usyk is going to beat him because Usyk is completely unbeatable even though he wasn't far from being beaten by Chisora and was losing to Bellew until the knockout, which he has no hope of doing to Fury. Usyk knows dropping Fury with a big overhand (which he doesn't have anyway) early would be a big mistake. He has to lul Fury into a pure boxing match and edge rounds over the distance.

There seems to be a perception that the only argument for Fury is that Usyk is too small. Some may have said that. Fury himself has said it (though I highly doubt he actually discounts Usyk on that basis). But I certainly haven't said it. I'm on record as saying that I'm an 'original eight' guy who doesn't recognise boozerweight (let alone grifterweight) and considers any fighter contending above 175 a heavyweight. Dempsey wasn't too small for Willard. If Usyk is good enough to do a number on Anthony Joshua, he isn't too small for Fury. And I know there are plenty others who predicate a Fury victory on more than just size. But, you know what we're gonna get. Before the fight: "Fury won't be able to maul Usyk, because Usyk is too smart and slick. But we need to stop this fight happening in the UK just in case, even though Usyk's fought there three times and won all of them, even claiming a decision against a massive A-side." After the fight, if Fury successfully employs mauling tactics at any stage of the bout: "Fury mauled Usyk so he didn't really beat him, he gets no credit from me, Usyk is the real champion, I'm putting my fingers in my ears now, la-la-la, I can't hear you..." It's all so predictable.
On fair cards Chisora only won the first three. Plus Fury lost three to Wallin, who had to win a robbery vs Sokolowski.
Usyk must have known going in that the cards weren't likely to be fair and if you allow a massive underdog but home and A-side fighter to make it competitive with you, you might well be given a draw/SD loss, especially as Usyk was seen as a threat to Joshua. A few on these forums who weren't even anti-Usyk didn't just give Chisora 4+ rounds (as more than 50% did) they scored it a draw. As unfair as it is, Usyk was at real risk of not winning, which his corner were apparently apprehensive about. Fury by contrast knew he had the luxury of being a big A-side so he didn't need to win rounds emphatically, the only round that Wallin won clearly was the 12th, when Fury was already miles ahead and there was no chance of a cut stoppage. Boxrec: 78-76 Wallin-Sokolowski Eyeonthering: Wallin 6-0 "Robbery" is clearly a pretty flexible term in your world. An out of shape, short notice Wallin phoned in a performance against a journeyman and Wallin won 79-74 taking next to no damage, wow. If Wallin was regarded as being a soft touch, A-side Whyte wouldn't have blatantly ducked him.
