Problem is that the casual audience watching at home, a huge chunk of which might have been interested in seeing the boxing, will have absolutely zero interest. Sure some of them might stay on at pubs after the football to watch the main event but that won’t make DAZN any money, it will just do business for the pubs selling pints.

That’s a massive faux pas from Matchroom. Warrington probably fuming.

The game has totally ruined the boxing event and this is a very lame attempt to merge the two together. If England lose (which is quite possible, let's be honest) the arena could be pretty empty or pretty wild, or both...

DAZN have just taken £8 out my bank when I cancelled a year ago. Logged onto my closed account on the computer and for some reason it's been re-activated, which definitely isn't by me as I watched it through an Xbox which I don't have anymore.

Contacted customer services and was sent to a hotline which just said 'we have no agents available'.

The schedule for the WC was out there for several weeks. I’m sure obviously there would have been difficulties with the fact that the arena has been booked for a specific date but as soon as the WC fixture list was released Matchroom would have been able to see the potential clashes with England’s games.

 

Venue was booked on 3rd and 17th. Need to get Warrington out and others this year.

Had other shows booked prior so no real option. Get the show on and adapt or wait until the new year and tell the fighters they have to train over xmas

This Saturday's card is a shocker. Ebanie Bridges co-main, TBA fighting 3rd and 5th from top and JJ Metcalf fighting the 85th best super welterweight in the world after a career best victory.

Less than half the tickets sold. Warrington used to sell out the arena every time under Uncle Frank.

Looked on the seating map and noticed Matchroom are leaving a full row gap every other row in most areas to try and make it look full.
