Thanks - I mean its good to get a bit of traffic to the site and having users test it, even in jest. User accounts will be implemented inevitably as well as various flagging functions etc.

 

Unfortunately, there are idiots already ruining this by inputting fake names and incorrect results on purpose. Some people just find it impossible to control their inner stupid.

This is a fantastic idea and the work you've done is greatly appreciated. It's going to take controls and oversight for this to work however.

I was going to create a bout (his debut) but could not due to the ref and opponent not existing. I created both of them but did not end up creating the bout yet.

 

I really wish boxrec created an API. I understand they went through a lot of work to build what they have but I would gladly pay some money to use their API.

Thanks. Yes no boxrec api is one of the reasons why I made this site. They have recently made a login wall to limit how much info you can view, which is no good either.

Too abusable right now surely? Is there any way you can code it to read names and cross reference with boxrec or something? And if that's possible surely you could dump boxrec info straight into there
