    Just no.

    Completely different.

Fury wouldn't be worried about either of those 'starers' beating the **** out of him.

Fury is not worried about him, nor is he underestimating him when you take out all the usual BS talk.
At 7:00 in this vid, he talks about it.

Then let's see it finally. Let's stop all the WWE-style circus let's see if he "splatters the middleweight". He keeps talking the talk but is still not walking the walk. He ducked Usyk early this year, and he ducked him again when he opted to have this meaningless cash-grab sparring session with a known injury to boot.

Usyk is no nonsense unlike Fury who saying he wants to fight Usyk then whining about his sore elbow two minutes later

Usyk said he wanted to fight fury straight after AJ then took time off because he was "injured".

You can't have it both ways.

That's the Fury fan narrative, created by Fury. It is inherently incorrect of course.

The five month break was a given, with or without the injury. The original agreement was that the Usyk-Joshua rematch would take place on 21st July, then, following a five-month break, the undisputed could be held sometime in December. All parties agreed to that, that includes Fury. And when the Usyk-Joshua rematch was delayed by a month, that automatically affected the proposed December undisputed bout too - it had to be delayed as well. But postponing it to January was not an option from a financial point of view. January is the worst month of the year to have such events as everyone is skint after the holidays. That's why Arum confirmed just days after the Usyk-Joshua rematch that the new target date was February. This was on 28th August - four days before Usyk talked about it.

So you have to do some serious mental gymnastics to put this on Usyk. There's a reason why Fury never said anything about the fight taking place in December - only after Arum and then later Usyk confirmed that the target date was February. Fury, like everyone else involved, knew that since there was a mutual agreement on a five-month break between the two fights (meaning: Fury agreed to that too) and since the Usyk-Joshua rematch was delayed by a month, that meant December was never going to happen. This was clear to all involved as early as July when Usyk-Joshua II was postponed.

But I must say, it never ceases to amaze me when Fury fanatics trying to make it look like there is something odd for a fighter of Usyk's calibre having five months between two fights. Fury himself never defended any of his belts in such a short period of time. Also, I heard no complaints from Fury fans when he kept stalling fights time and again. Fury fought only four times in the past four years. How exactly is that a very busy schedule?

Hardly 'almost knocked him out' though did he, come on.
Putting someone over doesn't mean nearly ko'd does it.
Gotta love when people hark back to things like that when fury was a very different , very young fighter.

But lets not let facts get in the way of a good story. Lol

Fury has fought 7 times in the past 4 years, Usyk 5. Your maths are wrong.

Not only that, Cunningham was out cold at the end of the fight.

Yes, fighting Whyte, Chisora, Swarz and Wallin is busy.

You are right, I meant the last three years. And my point still stands of course: four fights in three years is not exactly a heavy schedule. Fury never defended his titles twice in the space of just five months.

So there was absolutely no reason for the Chisora bout whatsoever. Firstly, because he was injured. Secondly, because it was a voluntary thing against a cherry picked, nigh on 40 years old opponent who couldn't trouble him a decade ago, let alone now. Thirdly, because he could have waited just a few more weeks and fight Usyk in February as planned.

As it stands, his fighting a trilogy against Chisora is indefensible. It can't be called a tune-up because how exactly does Chisora, a heavy, slow slugger tune anyone up against the slick, fast, southpaw stick and mover Usyk. Also, Fury said himself numerous times he didn't need tune-ups against Usyk - in fact, he hardly needed any training (his words, not mine). He exaggerated of course, but the point is: he fought a safe fight against an old Chisora where he only risked the chance of making his pre-existing injury worse hence jeopardising the Usyk bout. He purposely gave an ambiguous answer in the ring to the question if he can recover from the surgery in time for the Usyk fight: "we'll see". Unless we see him fighting Usyk in the first half of next year, that's a clear duck - for the second time in a year.

On another note: this was the only thing you addressed from my post. I trust we can agree that I covered the issue and you have no further comments.

Then Usyks fight against Chisora and Witherspoon don't count...

But I'm guesing you will shift the goal posts there.

Neither Fury or Usyk have done anything of any worth over of the last few years besides their title fights. Simple as.

Neither have been particularly busy. But the point I see some people making is that Fury has been busier, but besides Wilder he's fought no one that has come close to challenging him.

People thought Whyte would push him prior to that fight, but it was a totally one sided contest. Theres an argument to be made that he is just that much better than the rest of them and I think that will be obvious after the Usyk and Joyce fights.
