Think after this Warrington has one fight left on his Matchroom deal? Therefore it’s 100% going to be Wood at Elland Road/City Ground in May time if both come through.
Lara beating the f**k out him twice and him dropping a belt only to go after it again when an ageing guy he'd beaten years before had it means that the Selby and Frampton wins have the gloss taken off of them, he chose them at the right time after dodging Selby for years.
8000 out of 13000 tickets is great considering all circumstances. How many other UK shows have been completely sold out this year in arenas ?
That's not the point. 8000 tickets isn't bad at all until you look at the fact that Warrington normally sells the place out. It's all about context.
8000 tickets in December in a cost of living crisis is decent, especially in a working class city like Leeds. I hate hearn as much as the next man but these times are hard
Working class people rolling in disposable cash up north, houses for under 100k, rents at half price what you pay down south and still get a pint for £2.
Honestly never seen anything like it for a main event, Even Andrade Williams ****ing sold out in America.
8000 isn't bad though is it? It's a small show....if it was at O2, Wembley, Manchester etc then fair enough.
I did say it's not great FOR Warrington. For 99% of boxers it would be good but for Warrington who has regularly sold out Leeds Arena, for him this isn't particularly encouraging.
