He beat Morrison on my card. It was at least a draw. Tommy won the track meet and that was it.

Far, far better than the comeback version. Guys that beat prime Foreman are Tyson, Bowe, possibly Spoon, mmmaybe Holyfield but doubtful. I think he beats everyone else on paper.

The only ranked fighter Foreman beat during his comeback was world champ Michael Moorer. He was maneuvered in the alphabet rankings but never beat anyone in The Ring's Top 10, KO's Top 10 or Boxing Illustrated's Top 10.

He did beat some alphabet rated contenders like Adilson Rodrigues, Alex Stewart, Lou Savarese and Axel Schulz. But he struggled mightily against those guys except for Rodrigues.

Mmmm...no. Foreman scraped by Alex Stewart but he'll beat Ruddock like he beat Cooney? Truth Williams had a glass jaw just like Morrison but just like Morrison he'd find how easy it was to outbox Foreman and win a comfortable decision.

Spoon had a granite chin. Foreman was wise to steer clear of a still formidable Spoon. Same with Ray Mercer and Tony Tucker. And of course Larry Holmes who practically begged for a bout with Foreman since 1992.

All the guys I mentioned beat Foreman. All of them.

George Foreman is overrated. Hes in the top 10 Heavyweights but shouldnt be ranked ahead of Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield or Wladimir Klitschko which he shouldnt be.

I can appreciate his reasoning for the return to the ring in 1987, making some money to build his churches and the unfinished business in the ring. But I always felt that even though in his later life he proved to be a changed individual that some really good fighters probably took it easy on him because of his age and lengthy absence from the ring. True, George Foreman came back after a 10 year retirement, but some of his adversaries could have been Mike Tyson at his peak. This Foreman however proved to pace himself as the Foreman of old was always swinging for the fences, looking to obliterate his opponents. But in his first career I saw his glaring weakness, a lack of stamina as in his title losing bout against Muhammad Ali in Oct 1974 and his last bout against Jimmy Young in March 1977.

I had Morrison like 8-4. He landed at will and despite running during the bout he actually stood his ground to land some bombs. I'lll have to rewatch but every time I had Morrison winning comfortably.

Foreman definitely adapted and paced himself. He had a considerable size advantage and used that in his favor with his added bulk. That and his intelligence are why he had success during his comeback. But he knew his limitations.

I wanted to see Tyson fight Foreman as much as anyone, more so than Tyson-Holyfield '91 or even Bowe-Lewis. Glad it didn't happen, but then I see numerous posts claiming Tyson ducked Foreman and that's why they never fought. Took me a minute to figure out these people are serious.

The only part of that story I believe is Cus telling Mike that Foreman wasn't an ideal opponent for him.

The rest sounds grossly inflated. I don't believe Mike needed George as much as George needed him.

Foreman definitely needed Tyson more. I just wish the fight happened when it was white hot. What an event that would've been!

I know for a fact that Cus never discussed to Mike about Foreman being all wrong for him. I don't even think Teddy Atlas claims that as fact and he's the lord-gawd-king of Tyson hate.

If people believe a third hand account of Al Braverman's supposed story then I can believe Kevin Rooney, Tom Patti and Steve Lott over King's right hand man.

BTW, Old Foreman would never ever get near Prime Ruddock, …..

Boxing knowledge is almost nil her, we are not talking Prime Foreman, no, Old Foreman could not pull the trigger when he even remotely stepped up, he needed all the stars light up to get the 11th hour from behind KO against Glass cannon Moorer, ………post prison Tyson, Bowe or Lewis would have murdered Moorer, it would not even be competitive.

Old Foreman saw the openings but his delivery system was not able to transfer it to his fists in time…..that’s what happens when you get old, fact……….Prime Foreman would have never gone the distance with Tommy Chin, Saverese or Stewart, they would have been stopped in max three rounds.

Old Foreman was just Old Foreman, he was not a mix of Prime and Old, that’s what most posters cannot figure out.
