Why isn't anyone in the boxing community holding Crawford accountable?

If Spence had pulled what Crawford did, you guys would say he was scared and ducking Crawford. Spence is about to fight Thurman and either Ortiz or Ennis next, yet Crawford doesn't know who his next opponent will be after David. What gives?

Everyone has been trashing Crawford. Everyone trashes every fighter and says everyone is ducking and or scared.

It’s fake drama nonsense, amplified by social media and forums like this one, used by intelligent businessmen to keep fans engaged despite putting out less than quality* fights.

*Looking at you: Fury V Chisora 3, GGG V Canelo 3

Crawford still has no career defining wins

    35 years old

    Will likely retire undefeated

But who will care? nobody. Yet he'll hide in his little bubble and think he's the GOAT some low level boxing pundits will even give him that level of credit but it will only take a couple of years before that bubble bursts and he is 38 years old and realises he has a wasted his talent because of fear.

He probably questions every night - Regret not taking the fights or regret losing the fights? and he picks the 2nd option every time then jerks off to Fury Wilder 3.

Eh, I'm seeing otherwise. Any time Crawford is featured in an article posted to Facebook, the comment section is flooded with people ripping on him. The most prevalent "reaction" is the laughing emoji, too. People are fed up.

None of these "fight nobody and fight possibly once a year" guys are held accountable, at the end of the day. Its why they all do it.

Probably because as you said, Spence is fighting Thurman next.

Thurman is an awful choice of opponent, and let's not mince words, he has been chosen as an in-house opponent and WBC mandatory. Beaten by Pacquiao in 2019, and since then a lone win against Barrios (who was stopped by Tank Davis at 140 in his previous fight) gets you a mandatory position?

In comparison, Avaneysian has at least earnt his shot (unlike Thurman) and is on a fairly respectable run of form (unlike Thurman).

He’s definitely getting trashed by fans it’s the “journalist” that’s giving him a pass.

Lol Crawford has been disparaged by plenty of fans. This is literally a thread intended to do just that.

Would you sign your soul over to Haymon for a fight???

I love Crawford for taking the stance he's taken. It will pay off for him. It will bring him much better rewards that trading his soul.

He's a ****ing fighter, not a pop star.
