If you could go back in time and watch a fight live what would it be?

Something nobody has seen. Say, Sullivan-McCaffrey.

I'm sure I'd personally enjoy the FOTC, the Rumble, or Norton-Holmes more, but the opportunity to witness pugilistic history and then return to report what I saw to y'all would be hard to pass up.

Floyd Patterson - Tom McNeeley ...11 knockdowns in 4 rounds^^

    seriously:
Floyd Patterson - Ingemar Johansson 2
Max Schmeling - Joe Louis 1
Ken Norton - Muhammad Ali 2
Maybe 1 of the fabolous 4 Fights. But i can't decide which one
Would also be great to see Joe Louis in his prime. I guess it is a mood thing.

Jock Malone v. Maxie Rosenbloom, Nov. 15, 1927, St. Paul. The last great performance by Malone and one of the last important fights in the Golden Age of St. Paul boxing. Malone received the decision from all the newspaper writers present and was said by George Barton, Minneapolis Tribune sports editor, to have made Maxie, then already a veteran of 83 fights, look like a novice. Barton taught boxing at the St. Paul YMCA to Mike Gibbons, who is generally credited with developing the St. Paul style of boxing. My rationale for making this fight my gold standard as far as my time traveling goes, is bolstered by the thought it would have been a opportunity to see other St. Paul greats at ringside, like the Gibbons brothers, Mike O'Dowd, Johnny Ertle, and promoter managers like Mike Collins, Jack Reddy, Mike McNulty, etc., etc.

Jim Corbett vs Bob Fitzsimmons 17th March 1897 Carson City Nevada.

Mr Fitzsimmons annexing Corbetts world heavyweight title, aided by the advice of Rose his wife exhorting him to “Hit him in the slats!”, just proves the point behind every great man is a great woman.

    Kernows finest prevails

The only reason to see a fight from the past live would be to learn something. So my choices would be:

    Sullivan vs Kilrain
    Corbett vs Sullivan
    Fitzsimmons vs Corbett
    Jeffries vs Corbett 2
    Jeffries vs Fitzsimmons 2
    Johnson vs Burns
    Johnson vs Hart

I’d choose Cribb vs. Molineux so I could meet you in person and see what you looked like in your prime years in your mid-30s.

Then after I could take you and a slightly graying @djanders out for a pint.

I wish I had a time machine I would have rewatched the 10 minute round Burley and Bivins fought in the gym Kids like you don’t get it when you’re on the scene carrying Burleys spit bucket giving him his rub down and mopping blood in the morning and sparring in the afternoon you look past events and enjoy the moments you’re actually involved in get out there with your running boots and immerse yourself Maxim was a sparring partner of Bruleys he told me that he’d have knocked Robinson out

Hello there McVey. I hope you did n't get caught by any of the flying bottles! How soon was it that you picked up on the rancid atmosphere and realised that NF plankton was out in force?

I really felt for Marvin on that night.
