Bute was the clear favourite. Didn’t Ring magazine have him no.1 above Ward even after the super six?!
Bute was the favorite yeah, me and my brother bet big on Froch that night, new Froch would blow him away.
Froch is tough as hell plenty of dog in him and he expects the same from other fighters. I believe he started losing respect for AJ when he seemingly quit against Ruiz in the first fight.
I like Froch, as mentioned he tells it straight, even if people don't like it. I was at a charity night were he was speaking (before he was World Champion) and he both had a pop at most of audience as he disagreed with them (ended in a bit of an argument with them) and the same with the guy asking questions (he pulled him up, had a right go at him.) I seen their and then he was a guy that was not bothered about speaking his mind regardless if it was popular or not. The AJ situation will definetly be related to the Rob McCracken situation. Froch thinks the world of him.
I'll guess that Froch's 80k being dwarfed by AJ's 90k gate at Wembley consumes him hence the bitterness. The big nosed twonk.
Straight talker right there Ward could have gone to Canada after the six to relieve bute of that strap but refused to travel Got gloves won't travel
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. At the time he was extremely highly rated............ until he got Cobra'd
If people were honest about Carl Froch they'd admit he lost to Dirrell and Kessler which would've knocked him out in the group stage of the super 6
