Didn't catch the fight but when I saw this thread is 24 pages long I immediately knew Butler had taken Inoue to the British school of slickness and made him sit through the whole class. It can and will happen to the best of them. @Serge

He took a beating until he dropped on his belly and looked up at the ref while being counted out. Honestly, he looked less slick than Inoue, he just ran a lot and took punches without throwing.

 He did for 11 rounds but then Inoue managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat

He won every round and then knocked Butler out. Butler is a multi time champ and ranked just outside of the top 5. People just have ridiculous expectations for him because he doesn't fight in a popular division, and casuals think that everybody who isn't fed to them with a spoon is a walking tomato can.

Butler lost due to a momentary lapse in concentration. The stars just lined up for Inoue tonight. Butler should hold his head up high and his ribs will be shipped back to Britain a week later.

Until he dropped to his stomach and looked up at the ref without even trying to get up, you mean?

He didn't take many but most fighters would've been sparked by the ones which thumped against the gloves.

Yes. I know Gallagher was going to let him out of the cage in round 12 too so the slicking might have morphed into a brutal KO loss for Inoue if not for that lapse in concentration

    Yeah, the stupid ones.

I rarely bet on the over, even with silly fake vCash. But I thought there was a slight possibility of it happening this morning, in spite of my proclamations that Inoue would win by brutal KO, which ultimately... he did. Because I knew Butler was not going to employ the same tactic he utilized against Manrod and Tete, which got him dropped and KTFO. His running game was sharp against Sultan, and there was not a doubt in my mind he'd be hauling ass from the sound of ding ding ding. Running, keeping up a tight high guard, not throwing punches, is a pretty good recipe to survive the distance. I didn't think he would, and he didn't. But he milked that tactic for all it was worth.

I think Aleem would be a good test for Inoue at 122
