He was just outmatched unfortunately for him. Still he took the fight to enable the true undisputed champion to be crowned so I suppose that's worth something?

He's undefeated and ranked in the top 10, I think it would be an excellent fight to Inoue to test the waters.

It's kind of insane how Butler tried his ass off to avoid Inoue knocking him into next week and it STILL happened.

Inoue will have good tests in the upper weight division.

 

I thought the main event was going to start at 7:30 am EST. I missed the KO by 5 minutes.

Watching part of the fight, it look like Butler ran for most of the fight. Just kept backing away with his hands up and without throwing any punches.

Outside of maybe an Estrada or Casimero fight, there is nothing left at 118. He should move up.

Inoue was a combination of drained and overtrained, but still pitched a complete shut out and got the KO.

Butler is teak tough and his defense (survival mode dialed up to 11) is outstanding.

Butler wasn't visibly hurt because he has an amazing poker face and his defense was excellent. The fact that he finally wilted late should tell you that he's been taking punishment.

Inoue wasn't being disrespectful. He was trying to entertain the fans against someone who told himself that he was not going to get knocked out and trained accordingly for that scenario.
