What on earth is that answer

    :gey:

AJ has never wanted Fury he did an interview years ago already making excuses about how Fury has been a pro fighter for so much longer than him and it's unfair and he's had to do it the hard way getting moved fast.

But if you do the maths Fury's ring time is very comparable to Joshua...and in terms of getting moved "fast" it's total nonsense. Fury didn't have a promoter who builds up hype job manufactured bums loved by casuals for a living behind him. AJ is a homebody who can't fight off his own turf.

After Fury deals with Usyk people will understand that Fury AJ would have been mere formality.

It's funny Wilder has been horribly mismanaged and his resume is poor compared to AJ...but he's still 10x the fighter and that will be proven over the next 18 months.

I think he did want to fight Fury at one point but he knows Fury would end his career now so he has to save a little face playing up his personal rivalry with Whyte.

You do realise that this message from AJ was in reply to a question on Twitter where the average joe could put questions to AJ, other questions replied to were someone saying they were doing a school project about encouraging others to read and asked AJ what book from his childhood did he like and why, someone asked him to caption a photo which had AJ and Whyte in it.

So not exactly grand big time boxing announcements, anymore than the Twitter messages that Fury throws out there.

It is clear that Eddie has told Joshua he needs a win next as 3 losses on the bounce would be tragic. He is towing the line and calling out Whyte as it is more winnable. I actually think AJ would fight Fury now if he had his way. He is a robotic, false, bizarre person, but I do not have any reason to believe he would not step in the ring with anyone.Eddie will be calling the shots on this.
