You hold the title for this long, you are owed a rematch, especially since it would sell.

    Then again, boxing ain't fair.

I think Wlad deserved a rematch. A bit of a stretch to say Fury ducked it by going into meltdown- a bit extreme to avoid the fight. IMO Wlad would have had a better chance in the rematch but ultimately would have lost. I have watched the fight many times and Wlad was not lacklustre or below par, he could not deal with how Fury negated everything he tried to throw at him. Fury made him look poor and there is no reason to suggest Wlad could have made the changes required to win in a rematch.

He didn't contractually owe Povetkin a rematch. If you want to talk about winning outside the rules, Fury's win over Cunningham is textbook cheating. You are an alt who spews bs endlessly. Just a matter of time until this persona is perma banned and you pop up under a new moniker.

Fury faked an ankle injury and was seen jumping around on it at the pub .

People defending Wlad in contract agreements is rather pathetic. K2 are the people that made contracts where opponents had to fight the brother if one of them lost.

It's funny Wlad didn't get his rematch. He's corrupt as all hell, same with his brother. Just revisit the tricks they played on Team Fury, then you can add in all the massive political corruption in Ukraine if you want a more serious assessment.

If Wlad wanted to 'let his hands go' he should have done it the first time. He literally had 12 rounds to do it and waited until round 11 or so. Why? Because he thought Fury would tire [bad tactics], he couldn't time him, he didn't want to get countered. So he rightly lost. Wlad pretended like he just decided not to fight properly and lose and Fury rightly mocked him for it.

I watched Fury vs Klitschko again, very carefully and I scored it like this:

    Klitschko: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8
    Fury: 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12

It was a draw, in my opinion.

Fury wasn't superior to Klitschko and with a little adjustment Klitschko would beat Fury convincingly in the rematch.

Fury was also aware of it and ducked Klitschko twice for the rematch. Then vacated his belts, excusing himself with nonsense depression story. It's not the way a real champion behaves.

Did he fake chronic obesity, depression, suicidal thoughts and a 3 year absence from the ring as well?

I'm not aware of that. If he did it, it was wrong.

Yes. If one watches it carefully and unbiased, he will came to the same conclusion.

It will always be a mark on his career for me not rematching wlad cos the narcissist in him couldn't handle not getting lauded over by the british public in the UK after the wlad win, nobody cared for fury back then, nobody liked him much for his poor outspoken bigoted views and it all escalated to his mental breakdown after he threw his toys over it all after he come back from Germany and wasn't the hero he hoped and expected to be, he thought **** it all and went on a depressed binge for a bit off the back of all that.
    The rest is history....

Funny thing, Lennox also bottled it when Vitali wanted a rematch :deal:

He was contractually owed a rematch and Fury made like a mallard and ducked him big time.

I think that a much bigger issue than Wlad not getting a rematch is Vitaly never fighting Fury like he was supposed to.

Instead of having a fight with Fury he fought Chisora who had been convincingly beat by Fury and then he fought that Manuel Charr fellow that nobody had ever heard of. A dishonorable way to go into retirement if there has ever been one. And all this after all the crying about not getting a rematch vs Lennox Lewis. Atleast Lennox gave him 1 fight.
