We both know they are doing poor ppvs over there with him. Wazza waxes lyrical about attendances but is mute on ppvs. Hmm...
How so from the Wilder fights? Fairly certain America is all Bobs profit and UK is all Wazzas? This is true, but it's peanuts to earn a few hundred quid from the last two fights when over 100k+ people have attended. Hearn would earn millions from those numbers for himself.
I think they priced it like that because no sane human would pay £2 for the fight let alone £28. So if they are willing pay then fleece the mugs.
Are you having a laugh I'm probably one of the most vocal anti-Fury people on here, check out any Fury post and I'll be on there calling him a wanker no doubt.
AJ will never go as low as 300k buys regardless who he fights. Just Rememeber some were claiming after the pulev fight did 700k buys AJ was losing his drawing power lol. 700k v Pulev was great and if this under 300k number is true it shows just how low things can get if your name isn't AJ.
Not taking anything away from 700k, but I think something to factor in here is that it was during Covid when people were starved of live events. Would've sold well in a stadium during normal times too. Fury vs Chisora was just a terrible fight, even casuals realised this - at an expensive time of year when lots of people are hard up. Add to that the high PPV price and the fact that Fury has already had a stadium fight and PPV - I can see why people were put off. Joshua undoubtably has big pulling power - I don't even like him but I'd still watch his fights. He's been marketed really well, just getting beaten by Andy Ruiz was never part of the plan.
Boom. Do people also forget AJ beat Ruiz? I swear it's like that fight never happened. Tyson can't do 700k here or abroad. His biggest numbers will come from fighting Josh. Fact.
