That's all true, but... he's got a story that the media seem to like, he's had fights on Sky, he's a decent enough fighter likely to win more often than not - ticks a few boxes. It doesn't seem like Sky are in boxing for the money at the moment so I doubt PPV sales will matter to them and I suspect he didn't move to Sky for peanuts or low guarantees.
Mckinson already not happy as they are putting him on as not only a pre main card but pre YouTube undercard fight. So his fight literally won’t even be shown or visible
Heard Deadzone have less than 100 subscribers at present and relying on KSI Box Office money to put food on Bellew's table.
Seriously, how much are they paying Bellew to talk utter horsesh1t in front of a tiny audience? Four figures ? Not five figures surely ?
Bellew also gets the gig on Talksport on Monday mornings when they discuss Matchroom Cards, his social media is very pro Matchroom so I would think he is on a 6 figure salary.
So Michael Mckinson isn't even signed with Boxxer, he asked for a stay busy fight. So this is why he was so low down on the bill.
He'll be freelance and paid per appearance. He has limited companies set up for ventures and fight fees, presumably as (perfectly legal) tax avoidance. "Bomber Bellew Productions" got renamed to something a bit more opaque after he retired, but had the thick end of £5m pass through it.
