He is indeed overrated and he would still be Vitalis best win.

I agree. Don’t get me wrong I think Fury is a very good HW but PRIME VITALI good??? Nah. And I still say Prime Wlad (Manny Steward trained 2007-2013) would KO Fury late rounds.

Usyk is hands down the best HW right now. Not Fury imo. And Usyk’s wins over Joshua are more impressive given the size differential and the fact Joshua is more skilled than Wilder.

Well honestly I think Vitali’s best win was when Lewis forfeited the title instead of keeping his promise and rematching him. Well… that’s not exactly how it went down I know :D Vitali stopped Corrie Sanders for Lewis’ WBC and Ring. But still! Lewis backed out of that much anticipated rematch. That’s a W for Vitali in my book.

But I think Vitali’s best wins are No Masing a still dangerous Peter after a four year layoff and making a prime Arreola cry after 12 rounds. The Herbie Hide destruction was impressive too. Hide at that time was still very dangerous to the majority of HW’s.

I’ve been back and forth with this matchup. Fury could stick and move better with his superior foot speed and reach, but he can’t maintain a consistent offensive throughout a fight. Chisora was a literal punching bag and Fury didn’t look all that great on the attack. Even in the Wilder rematch his offense looked awkward and forced. I don’t think he can hang with someone like Vitali, who’s about the same size, constantly punching, and wouldn’t be fazed at all by Fury’s power. It’s also in Vitali’s favor that he was very consistent, while Fury can be pretty lazy. I’d pick Vitali to win a close decision.

Fury is overrated. From juiced he wasnt able to KO Wlad winning one the most boring fights ever.... figure with Vitali.

Vitali TKO's Fury or wins by UD. Too tough and chinned for Fury.

    Classic fight warrior vs boxer.

Vitali. Harder puncher by a lot, and Vitali was very willing to stand and trade shots. Fury would be knocked out.
Vitali has never been off his feet. He’d weather Furys best counter punches and take it right back to Fury, with more force

    VK by clean KO.

Vitali was neither slow nor clumsy. His defense was excellent.

Watch this, Vitali at age 40:

And this after 4 years out of the ring, age 37:

I know it's not the be all and end all but if you look at their comment opponents Fury had a much easier time.. he never quit against a midget either

Who the fk did he KO the level of Fury? Sanders who was splattered by the mighty Nate Tubbs & human everlast bag Samuel Peter lol ... he couldn't even get an old Shannon Briggs out of there.. if the likes of Johnson and Chisora can go 12 with him & make him look silly I'm sure Fury could

36 yr old Wlad KOs Fury

40 yr old Vitali KOs him, too

Big VK was one tough monster in the ring…. tough as nails, iron chin….. and willing to go head to head in a heated exchange.

never taken off his feet (Cunningham and Wilder both dropped fury) , VK was never even behind on the cards, and he confidently came back from a four year absence (see Peter clip above) and having had surgery, with NO tuneups to face the current title holder, thrashed him and made him quit

Vitalli was a different beast entirely then fury….. and a younger Wlad that still had his reflexes was also different beast entirely than Fury.

fury came up at the right time to look so dominant…… and until Usyk came up, Fury was dominant….because both Klitschko brothers were either already gone (VK) or reflexes were obviously slowing with age ((Wlad)

but in a post Klitschko’s era fury is certainly dominant, until USYK has his chance at him

He has two peaks I think.

Fury vs Wlad then the current iteration.
