Why do you guys not like Eddie Hearn?

He is the reason, why a lot of great fights not happening.

He is bitter and arrogant, want to compete with big guys, but don't have enough class and level to do so

He is overpaying a lot of average boxers, and hyping the wrong boxers.

 

Read the posts on the British Forum and it is even worse. 95% of threads involve people mentioning and blaming Hearn. A lot of hate for him has been heightened recently due to the Conor Benn failed drug tests and how he covered it up and is now campaigning for Benn to fight again in the UK in February. Also, a lot of Brits blame him for PPV, lying about the number of UK shows on DAZN, and hyping up Joshua heavily only for him to suffer some losses.

 

I like Hearn don't know why guys especially people from the UK hate him.

 

I heard some people say that he's worse than Don King

 

his confidence, arrogance success and wealth make the haters hate.

 

Nothing against Hearn but he can be quite delusional at times. The "PPV is dead" declaration came back to bite him in the ass though!

He is a promoter he does his best in that role for the fighters he promotes and for himself, that is nigh on a definition of what a promoter does. So disliking him for doing his job seems pointless to me. Do I agree with all his decisions, no I do not, but I don't always agree with other promoters either.

In fairness to Hearn, he is no more of a lying backstabbing snake than any other promoter, as being a snake is a prerequisite to being a promoter.

But what makes me dislike him more than other promoters is:
1) The massive media propaganda machine that supports him (especially here in the UK),
And 2) His ridiculous use of rematch clauses that hold up divisions and prevent better fights from being made.

 

I completely understand the issue with point (1), but what is it exactly about how he uses rematch clauses that has your back up?

 

I don't have anything against him I just like Frank Warren better. Warren is more frightening than the guys he promotes. He looks like the kind of guy who would have minions to take care of you if you crossed him but would still stab you personally because he thinks that is how it should be.

Hearn is just a rich, young, successful and handsome man. BOR-ING.
