When was the last time Heavyweight boxing had such a strong top 5?

The 90's were superior IMO. But this is a far better top 5 than what the 2 headed hydra of Wlad and Vitali reigned over. Although I think there are fighters here and there during their reign that were equal to this top 5.

Drug testing is infinitely tougher today.

They have a man stand in the room and watch you pee (a job I've applied for)

    Ring ratings in December 2010
    Wlad
    Vitali
    Haye
    Povetkin
    Adamek
    Chagaev
    Eddie Chambers
    Denis Boytsov
    Valuev
    Alexander Dimitrenko
    Chris Arreola

Bum king Wilder who is arguably shot, obese mental patient Fury and mentally shot Joshua aren’t historically good Heavyweights. Not even gonna mention Ruiz, Usyk is the best out of the bunch but all he has is 2 close wins at HW against Joshua.

Other than Holy, Tyson and Tommy; was there widespread speculation of roids in the division? Serious question, I don't remember, I was a teen so I didn't pay all that much attention to that aspect

They weren't close wins of you look at the compustats for both fights. Usyk totally dominated him.

They were close fights though, especially the 2nd bout. I don't judge fights by "computstats", I judge them on a round by round basis.

They are useful and generally correct.

Joshua was never in the first fight and almost got knocked out. Another mysterious matchroom early bell (8 seconds) saved him.

Second fight was closer but the round for round stats make poor reading for Joshua. He landed getting on 50% less than Usyk. He basically couldn't get to him.

How is AJ shot? He lost to Usyk ( a future HOFer) & the rematch was competitive...avenged his loss against Ruiz and beat everyone else he faced.

This is a great era that will be looked at as a great era in a few decades.

5 years ago was probably even better as you had ancient Vlad lurking around as well as everyone else mentioned.

You hate Fury more than Miniq loves him.

That is impossible. I don't drag Fury into every single thread I comment on.
