Hoylfield was slightly past his peak but still good. Either way, the version Lewis beat was a significantly bigger h2h threat than anyone Fury beat and had a phenomenal resume.
I'm with you there Stevie. Can definitely edge in for second best, not sure many other Brits will ever be as successful or highly regarded as Lennox.
If he takes all the major titles after Usyk n has several defenses I think an argument should b had. I don't think Bowe should b rated highly just bcuz he was able to beat Holyfield multiple times. Are we gonna do that for Vernon Forrest beating Mosley? Ofc not. Outside of that his resume doesn't impress me.
Well in my case, given I place Holyfield only below Ali, Louis, and Holmes as ATG yes Bowe's wins are quite notable imo.
Fair enough but I don't see them past beating Holyfield. Imho its his style n size that ppl glamor over more than his wins. Not saying you. My bad just speaking in general.
No. I'm a Fury fan but I don't think he can reach Lennox Lewis' level of greatness, although he can be a top 10 heavyweight all time if he beats Usyk and Joshua IMO.
I think around the 8-10 spot on the all time heavyweight list would be fair. His resume is good enough to be there, but there are still a lot of heavyweights that are greater.
Yep, totally get you there. The thing with Fury I'll say, is maybe with out the pandemic thing s might have been different, get a few more fights in, plus his giving up the belts after Wlad.
