    Where are the fights?

All I see is a bunch of part time fighters fighting every 1.5 years vs tomato cans for paychecks and robbing fans of their money.

This sport is on the verge of death until all these promotional companies cease to exist and the PPV model re-worked.

The only spark of interest the sport has is a potential Benevidez vs Canelo fight, and some of the 135-140lb potential fights, and they are in no rush to fight.

Basically just taking easy fights for $ until a cash grab and a retirement plan.

Everytime I see a potential fight it's always "we'll fight in 2024, well fight in two years". It's disgraceful.

I've been watching boxing for damn near 25 years and a hardcore fan. Spent more money on tickets than you can imagine but it's at its lowest point right now. Something needs to change - and fast!

i agree. i also think the overall skill level of the top ten lists is abysmal. terrible talent drought. not enough kids who want to be fighters anymore.

Next gen will be next level skills. Be on the look out for David Chavez. He is only 16 months old, but he has a very bright future. LOL

Is it any wonder why? People are tired of watching something that is one step away from being as pre-determined/set-up/fake as TV wrasslin'.

Not getting fights we want to see, we got 5 champions per weight class, we got seventeen divisions. This sport is a joke

Too much money for fighters to be taking risks nowadays.

Boxing will never die.....however it will continue to shoot itself in the foot. We are in that drab situation right now.

Agree and disagree at the same time it’s more perception than anything the guys who get the most pub like a tank or a ggg be the guys who fight some of the weakest comp so you’d think it was a representation of the sport but currently in boxing we got
    inoue undisputed at 118
    Fulton at 122 unified champ
Shakur was just unified at 130
    Haney undisputed at 140
Taylor was just undisputed and is currently unified stil at 140
Spence is 3-belt unified at welter
    Charlo is undisputed at 154
    Canelo undisputed at 168
    Bertibev 3-belt unified at 175
Uysk 3-belt unified at Heavy along with fury being Lineal
That’s 10 divisions just off the top that had unified or undisputed champions so that’s fights happening we just spend more time talking about frauds

It feels like we've not had a worthwhile fight in months.

Lou dibella just did an excellent podcast on this subject with the channel called the boxing voice. I'm also like you I've been watching this sport for about 25 years and it is very bad. No one knows who these guys are and these guys are spoiled brats that don't want to fight anyone dangerous. Most of these prospects are so terrified of fighting anyone that can punch. That is why they fight soft punchers.

They are overpaid and the promoters are going broke. There are no fights scheduled beyond January

It shows how desperate promoters are to make a quick buck when Eubanks vs Gray Harir Smith is a PPV Headliner. Not even a good undercard to go with it.
This is doing long term damage to the sport and they couldn't care less. Greddy fat cats

Then you got Spence and Crawford and everybody involved who are disgracing themselves and the sport.

Tank should be fighting Ryan Garcia not the other Garcia guy.
Boxing is on life support atm

The Gary Russell Jr model does appear to be in vogue these days. Win a title and hold it hostage for as long as you can, only venturing into the ring once in a blue moon against uninspiring opposition for high six figures (or seven figures if the other guy has an above 10% chance of beating you).
