    I believe Solomons was responsible for several fixed fights ,including;
    Woodcock v Savold1
    Woodcock v Oma.
    Will you provide primary sources for your "gangster," allegation against Mickey Duff please?

    Too bad Ayala committed that crime, he was about to be fed to a motivated Roberto Duran at 154. He'd have gotten the Davey Moore beating and I'd have relished it.

    One thing I will say: I met both one on one after some local cards I attended, (Arum for Josue Camacho-Michael Carbajal and King for Kostya Tszyu-Julio Cesar Chavez-I could not get tickets for the latter fight but mongered around for autographs afterwards) and the one thing that struck me was I was able to approach Arum one on one, we spoke for a minute about his relationship with Puerto Rican boxing and he signed my Kayo boxing card of him. Don King, on the other hand, had 1,000 bodyguards like if he was the President of the United States, and he looked to be fuming from his nose and looked very unapproachable.

    Based on those two encounters solely, I'd say Arum is less afraid of having an enemy attack him, he is less, so to speak, "gangster" and thus seems a bit more decent than King, to me at least.

    You mean Moore would beat Ayala, or vice-versa?

    Solomons put Freddie Mills in with Joe Baksi too with Snowy Broadribb as an accomplice.

    Duran would have beaten Ayala in the same way he (Duran) beat Davey Moore; thoroughly and brutally.

    Ayala would have been in way over his head at that point and Duran would not have let Latin machismo bragging rights slip. Ayala gets under his skin and disrespects him at an early press conference and Duran's focus becomes horrific. Ayala's beating depends on his courage. In fairness, he was probably game enough to take a fair pounding and Duran would have obliged, effectiively ending Ayala's career in the top flight.
