Lol Holmes fought in the weakest era ever. And ali was totally shot to bits by the time they fought.

It’s close it’s up for debate. I used to just say Holmes. But looking at it closely, I could see Chris Byrd schooling say Shavers. I wouldn’t be surprised if Haye blasted out some of Holmes best wins, and Povetkin is a top shelf win for Wlad that would beat most contenders of any era. Holmes does have some great wins thought Witherspoon etc

Holmes: Witherspoon, Norton, Cooney, Shaver 2x

Wlad: Povetkin, Haye, Byrd 2x, Chagaev, Peter, etc

    It’s a good discussion.

Larry. Wlad had those losses when he was in his prime. Both are ATG Top 10 Heavys.

I'm not gonna go into which resume was better because it's a toss up IMO, but all I know is I'd rather watch Holmes any day of the week, over boring Wladimir's clinchfest style.

Holmes vs Weaver, Holmes vs Witherspoon, Holmes vs Norton, are some of the greatest Heavyweight fights in history. There isn't any fights in Wladimir's career that I would ever rewatch.

True, lol, but shot to bits Ali is still better than anyone on glass jaw Wlad’s record. :D

All true, but I do enjoy watching Wlad get KO’d so I rewatch the fights he gets KO’d anytime I hear someone say Wlad is a top heavyweight.

I like Klitschko's best wins over Holmes' best wins. Then again, Wlad has more losses in his prime which is (in my opinion) is a bad thing.

I think you mean physical prime right? But IMO Wlad was fully tuned and at his best from 2006-2015. He hardly lost any rounds during that stretch with Steward.

Holmes win over Ali meant next to nothing. He was already brain damaged at that point.

Yes, because every other heavyweight completely sucked. Gerry Cooney was the betting favorite against Holmes. Wlad never had to face a challenger that was seen as a real threat to him until Joshua. Fury was the underdog in their match.

I can also see Cooney beating the crap out of Wlad.

    Yep, agreed.

Cooney, Norton, Shavers, Witherspoon KO Wlad, anyway.
