This man's resume is bonkers. Since winning the WBO Cruiserweight title in 2016 this is his CV

    -Glowacki
    -Mchunu
    -Hunter
    -Huck
    -Briedis
    -Gassiev
    -Bellew
    -Witherspoon
    -Chisora
    -Joshua
    -Joshua

He completely cleaned out the 200 pound division. Going from badass to badass. The only semi-relevant name he missed there was Dorticos. He's only taken 1 money fight since he became a world champ. That was his only undisputed defense as Cruiserweight champ against Tony Bellew. Which did basically nothing for legacy, but goddamn it, can we give him just 1 money fight? Also took a pair of tune ups against Witherspoon and Chisora which he used to properly acclimate his body to the increased physicality of the HW division. Then he gave Anthony Joshua a contractually obligated two fight super-beatdown. AJ wanted it in the contract, so he got it. Apparently 1 brain scrambling ass-kicking wasn't enough, he required two of 'em.

Now Usyk says, it's Fury or nothing. It's the only fight I want to see too. Nothing else matters at HW other than Usyk-Fury. Everything else is basically pointless.

Yeah his run at CW was insane, the best undisputed run in the 4-belt era for sure. Only Josh Taylor (Baranchyk, Prograis, Ramirez) even comes close.

I wish Usyk did not fight Fury. The bald ogre will bully Usyk with ease, and I do not wish to see brute size beat skill.

This matchup makes a mockery of boxing since the size gap is so enormous.

A true ATG. It is a privilege to see his legend unfold. Same goes for Inoue.

The only man who can beat him is another GOAT

Fury & Usyk will hold hands in retirement together.

He deserves them HW paydays Fury will be that challenge too far but there is no shame, you can't take anything away from him even if Fury KO's him in 1 round. He's making his physical disadvantages his advantage, problem is Fury will use every physical advantage to its full effect unlike AJ.

It will make people realize how shite AJ is...LOL.

    Glowacki in Poland
    Mchunu (neutral America)
    Hunter in America
    Huck in Germany
    Briedis in Latvia
    Gassiev in Russia
    Bellew in England
    Witherspoon in America
    Chisora in England
    Joshua in England
    Joshua (neutral Saudi)

He's has a grand total of one home official in all of those 11 fights, 9 of them world title fights. American fighters often have 4 for 1 fight alone over in the US and I mean for world title fights against foreigners

Mchunu is seen as one of his weakest opponents out of all of those but he's a damned good fighter: Slick, skilled and tricky and awkward and he'll make you look bad even if you beat him. He was robbed in his last fight against current WBC CW champ Makabu. Usyk made his first defence against him on his US/US TV debut, a voluntary defence. Who would take on someone as slick, tricky and skilled as Mchunu for their first defence and US TV debut? King Usyk that's who

Absolutely the best resume in boxing today. Guy didn't pull any BS clauses or wait for someone to age.

I've always said that what one thinks about Usyk is based on what one thinks of his cruiserweight run. I just don't think that group of cruiserweights he went through was special. They were just good fighters facing a great fighter and they should have lost to Usyk. The one exception would be Briedis who was a very good fighter and Usyk struggled with him.

Usyk has been very good at heavyweight but his two wins of importance came against an already exposed, mentally fragile man.

Please don't get this wrong. I think Usyk is a skilled, fantastic fighter, an ATG and a certain Hall of Famer. I just rate him much lower on the ATG and P4P lists than it seems like so many do. I certainly think he has more to accomplish and can end up being rated much higher than where I rate him now.

    Counter point.

The first part of your list are complete nobodies with almost zero name recognition and never ever won any meaningful fights.............whats Hucks claim to fame except getting shafted against Russian Hype job Povetkin..........

    Bellew? Just lol.

Chaz Witherspoon ? The definition of a never was, worse than club level.

Then local Brit club fighter aka "Impersonating Heavybag" Chisora....

Feeble minded glass chinned Bodybuilder X2 X12 who a non ranked late morbid obese Taco stand owner waxed and made him spit his mouth piece out and quit aka TKO....................in other words the fat square Fridge beat the ,then undefeated ,Bodybuilder far more convincingly then feather fisted Usyk going 24 with zero chin zero stamina zero will Bodybuilder.

You are right! But the thing is, that is boxing. Look at the maulings my countrymen Wilfredo Gomez, Edwin Rosario and Hector Camacho Sr. got at the hands of Mexicans Salvador Sanchez and Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.

Still, the fact they got in that ring with them, in a strange way, enhanced their status, because they did not duck them.

And, then again, sometimes the smaller boxer beats the big one.....

Yes without doubt Ruiz holds a better win over Joshua than Usyk, however in the rematch Joshua made the right adjustments to avenge his loss to Ruiz,Joshua simply could not do anything to avenge his loss to Usyk in there rematch !

If he becomes the first undisputed heavy of the four belt era after being the first undisputed cruiser of the four belt era, he is in the uber-elite along with Louis, Ali, Robinson, Greb, Armstrong, Leonard, Duran, etc.

If he beats Fury, he cements his legacy as an ATG.

Thing is, Fury is far better than Joshua and actually knows how to use his size and strength. Even if Usyk does beat Fury, it won't be as easily as he beat AJ, not even close.
