I honestly think Ruiz could upset if motivated but a very small chance. Even now I think higher of Wilder than Joshua. I just don't see Wilder losing like that unless he's faded. I don't hold the Fury losses against him he just couldn't beat the better fighter in Fury. On paper, seeing two guys needing a win to get back on track sounds intriguing at first glance. Hope it will b a good fight.

If.....IF....Ruiz comes in motivated and in good shape like he was against Joshua I, he could beat Wilder via decision. But if he's been devouring chimichangas and grande fajitas then Wilder wipes him out in 4.

Wilder looks like trash for 6 rounds, then lands a bolt from the blue that leaves Andy face down for a 20 count

What if Ruiz lands first? He can punch also.

Um a 40 plus year old Chris Arreola knocked down Ruiz. Does Arreola have "goat" power too?

Ruiz couldn't even stop 98 year old Luis Ortiz but yeah he is stopping Wilder. If Wilder stays around 210 to 215 range he should stop Ruiz easily.

Exactly. I can’t believe how many are writing Ruiz’s power off and forgetting Wilder doesn’t have the best chin! Plus how old is Wilder now???

They're gonna have to break out the smelling salts for Ruiz... and the smelling pepper and the smelling oregano.

That one win is better than any of Wilders though.

Wilder's chin is not great and if Ruiz can get in first and land that right hand it could hurt Wilder, although Wilder is so great with his power that if he lands it is all over. So it will be a very interesting first few rounds.

Have to go Wilder but I concede that Ruiz has better technique, IQ, footwork, combinations and stamina (fighting at high volume).
Wilder would be easy pickings for Andy.... except for his two outlier qualities: athleticism and punch power.
I'm sure Ruiz has schooled hundreds of similar fighters to Wilder in training and competition but, at some point, Windmilder pings him with that magic right hand and finishes it.
Oddly, I fancy Ruiz has a better chance Vs Usyk.

And lost the fights anyway. Wasn't capable of knocking out post-drugs and alcohol 50% of Fury.

To the topic: I don't think he'll knock him down quickly. If Ruiz gets into shape and approach the fight seriously, he's capable to win, but even if we're sure he'll lose, he'll give Wilder a hard fight that possibly will be a decision.
