The Tank kool-aid is real. His punches did nothing, they didn’t even phase Garcia. The single punch that did damage was the punch to the back of his head that scrambled his vision. It is mind-blowing to me to witness just how blind everyone is to what is going on in a fight. No wonder people can’t score a fight, they can’t see.
Ya I kinda felt he was just grabbing the most convenient reason to justify it. But then again I don't want to call the guy a liar either. But it's just how it seems to me. I think it's more likely he was dizzy, hurt, and didn't know where he was, and was smart enough to call it a day. And I don't blame him. I'm just not sure I buy he was temporarily blind.
He didn't even look that hurt, nor blind. He was able to finish the round and walk back to his corner, look at his stool and sit down. The whole thing just doesn't sit right with me, especially after that crowd "disturbance".
What happened to Garcia against Tank also happened to Matthysse when he fought Postol. This content is protected
Israel Vazquez is an example of a fighter that ended up losing an eye from all the damage that he sustained in his fights. I don't blame fighters for not wanting to risk that happening to them as well.
It happens. Tanksdidn't do it on purpose. Garcia did show a pretty good chin. Still doesn't take away from the fact that Tank is a big puncher.
