I have no issue with McKean as a warm up. No way I’m paying paying though and I am really interested to see the sales pitch by Fast Eddie.

 

McKean is ranked 11 by IBF. Fury just fought Chisora who isn't top 30. AJ only ever fights top 15 fighters. Mainly top 10.

To be fair Fury has just smashed Whyte who Joshua needs a warm up fight before he faces him

 

No issues with him fighting a bum. As long as not PPV.

April PPV for a bum fight is a farce though

 

Hardly a fight to be excited about but coming off 2 losses, 3 losses in his last 4 fights, confidence issues and another new trainer he can be excused for having an easy opponent. No different than Fury fighting Schwarz or Chisora or Wilder fighting well...everyone he has fought. Not PPV worthy but we know it will be £26.99 or whatever the PPV price is these days.

 

No issues with the opponent, but AJ should be fighting more often. His lack of activity is probably more of more of an issue than his trainer. It will be 8 months since he fought Usyk. He's likely wasted a lot of his prime sat on his arse. This is his 10th year as a pro and he's had 24 fights. Lennox Lewis had 37 fights in the same timeframe and Bruno had 38. Even Fury had 28 fights in his first decade and he had 3 years off.
