Honestly, things aren't looking well if AJ at this stage of his career needs a tune up before Whyte. You'd expect Whyte to be a tune up. It's not really comparable to Wallin, because Fury was still working towards getting complete match fitness after the massive weight cut and damage he did to his body during the lay off.
The Fury fight was still never Box Office but yes after a long absence, he needed rounds. Joshua ducked Wilder and Fury to feast on puddings - he is fully exposed and should retire before we get The Rumble of the Humble 2 meltdown after he faces any live opponent.
None of the top fighters are calling out an unproven, unexperienced fighter who's irrelevant at the moment? And you wonder why?
Very underwhelming opponent ,understand if he is shot of all confidence but must be a huge worry to aj fans Needing a warm up.fight for d whyte quite embarrassing considering how bad his recent performances have been. This should never be ppv but no doubt will be. And is anyone really interested in whyte vs aj again. Boxing is so **** at times the big names all afraid fight one another just want easy fights for crazy money. So many great matchup could be made and unfortunately none look as if will happen
I think the problem he has with trainers is that he surrounds himself with yes men. In the 2 Usyk fights with different trainers both corners were saying he was doing really well in between rounds. So much so that after the second fight he threw the belts in disgust after thinking he had won the fight. It's like his delicate ego can't handle any constructive criticism and the trainers have to pander to him rather than give him a kick up the arse when he needs it. For me Joshua is well and truly done. He seems more interested in being a walking advertisement for his headphones ect in the press conferences than trying to establish himself as the main man. After losing 3 of his last 5 fights, the carry on in the ring after Usyk rematch, turning down the Fury fight for a chance to become champ again and now fighting an unknown on DAZN he is hardly going to set the public's imagination of fire
Exactly mate, no one in the division wants a part of dempsey "Mean Machine" Mckean. Strap season for dempsey brave of AJ to take it
Fact is he's another top 15 fighter, might as well be top 10. AJ has only ever fought top 10 fighters.
Who knows. James seems like a good trainer but so we're the other 2. I think the problem lies with Joshua himself rather than his trainer
