Bivol might be drained at 168.

I dont think so, hes already a pretty small guy for the 175 pound division frame wise, i think he could make 68 pretty easily and still beat Canelo on the cards. Its just a bad stylistic matchup for Canelo.

He’s probably done enough to be top 100. To be top 50 he would have to beat Bivol or Beterbiev (or someone on that level) at 175.

Canelo is an outstanding boxer and has lots to be proud of. He was one of the best junior middleweights at the time he was a junior middleweight, getting controversial wins over Trout out and Lara before being schooled by one of the best ever Floyd Mayweather in his 5th division up. He can also be proud of giving Golovkin two tough, great fights in competitive yet losing efforts,as well as defeating Cotto for the Ring mag + WBC title, and clearly defeating the other top Middleweight Daniel Jacobs. His biggest accomplshments, because he legitimately won these fights are his winning and unification of the 168lbs division, defeating WBA reg Champ Fielding,Ring mag champ Smith, WBO Champ Saunders, and IBF Champ Plant. These are decent but pretty average level Champs. He also won the WBA light heavyweight title from future Hall of famer Kovalev, who had a title but was well past his prime. When Canelo fought a prime, elite light heavyweight Champ he was soundly defeated, no real shame in that though. So he was one of the best in 3 weight divisions maybe four. Golovkin was one of the better middleweight champs in history but Canelo ran him close but came up short, outside of corrupt judging. Shooting from the hip, i would say maybe top 100, but there was so many greats, it is really hard to say.

Hes a known drug cheat. He ain't getting on my list. Boxing should be like Athletics and cycling where when the athletes get caught doping they are banned for years and shamed forever, stripped of titles etc. Like Lance Armstrong, Donovan Bailey, Marion Jones

Hmmm modern thinking says yes but really there has been so many great fighters from past eras who are not in the top 100 when boxing was a harder sport in terms of fighting continuously. So on that note, NO he is not in the top 100.

However I may change my mind.

Not in the top 100 for me. He is an excellent fighter but too much deck stacking in his favour. It’s a shame, if he stayed clean and fought with his natural potential only, I think he would be held in very high regard.

If you don’t have him in top 30 name 30 boxers better than him. Inb4 the classic f words start naming dudes with primitive cavemen styles or weirdos that would out Calzaghe over Canelo lmao.
