What should Joe Joyce do?

I'd love to see him fight Wilder. I don't think Wilder would take it at all tho. Not due to fear but he gains nothing from a hyper dangerous opponent. I think his promotional team would say no. I'd love to see if Wilder's bombs have any impact on Joyce. If they didn't I think Wilder would drain quickly.

 

I believe the easiest fight out there right now for him would be Joshua, JJ chin has passed every test so far and i see nothing in AJ to realistically put a dent in it, i see JJ doing what he does best with AJ and just walking him down and stops him in about six, AJs tank and chin lose him this fight if it were to be made.

 

...and because of the tank and chin, his heart. Like happened with Ruiz after the early flash knockdown got his hopes up.

 

It doesn't seem like AJ is passionate about boxing anymore. He can probably get himself in good physical shape, but it doesn't help much if he's not mentally ready.

 

I don’t think he’s in that great position to be honest.

Not a big draw but is a big risk for everyone, 37 I believe so is getting on a bit, Fury and Usyk tied up for 2023, Wilder and Ruiz tied up, Hearn seemingly keen on Joshua v Whyte in the summer.

Not sure who Joyce will be able to fight this year and by the time he gets a crack at one of the top 4 he may well be 38.

 

He needs to hurry up a bit, he isn't the youngest and nobody escapes age

 

He is getting on but doesn't seem to age. Speed has never been part of his skills repertoire.

Ortiz is still fighting at 107.

I'm kidding about Ortiz

He's 130

 

He should fight a good opponent he will earn £s for, that he should beat. Whyte would be ideal, as career best payday imo, yet should be a straight forward win.

 

Fury will fight him in the Summer.

Usyk might throw a spanner in the works though...

 

It's unfortunate that boxing, especially the heavyweights, are as stagnant as they are. On the plus side, I think his style means he can probably box for a while yet, despite his age, he doesn't rely on reflexes or speed, just fitness, durability, and sheer physical strength.

 

I'd love to see Joyce in with Fury. I would pick Joyce to win by KO, if pushed. I can't see how Fury would be able to beat him.

 

Joyce does not have time on his side,a Dubois fight gives him nothing imo.Some one like Ortiz or even, Kowanacki would be better.Dubois should look for the older names imo Pulev,Helenius etc.

 

Kowanacki? Has retired hasn't he. Joyce is levels above him.
Ortiz would be an interesting fight to be honest I think it's time he got in with AJ, Fury, Usyk or Wilder and I can't see any of them happening.
Whyte would be fine but Joyce wins that in around 6-7 rounds.
Tough one for Joyce time not on his side so where does he go. He can keep KOing the not quiet elite but it doesn't put him anywhere closer to a title shot.
IF Whyte and AJ are locked in for summer. Wilder, Ruiz, are his only big name options after that it's Sanchez, Bakole and maybe even Pulev

 

I see via Facebook that Joyce is about to start camp in vegas, any idea of the opponent ?
