Another middle finger to boxing fans. My interest in this lame sport is at an all time low.

What a load of absolute trash. The only thing that can save boxing is the fans by not buying tickets to this garbage and not paying to watch it.

Sorry if this isn't news to some... I don't follow boxing as close as I used to and just found out about this flaming pile of dung.

I like this fight.... let's be honest, Spence has looked pretty lackluster since returning from his accident, and Thurman regularly fought in and around 150 throughout the early part of his career, and he didn't look horrendous vs. Barrios. Stylistically, I've always thought Thurman could pose quite a few problems for Spence. So it's kind of a good test for both of them to see where they're at in their careers. Also, let's be honest, is there any doubt Thurman would outpoint the Ugas and Garcia that Spence fought?

I thought Spence has looked good myself. Thurman on the other hand? Got beat by an ancient Pacquiao, almost slept against Josecito and hasn't looked good in 7 years while only having 4 fights in that timespan.

Edit: If Thurman still had the hunger, I'd be excited for this, but I don't see it.

PBC trash fans are too infatuated with their black supremacy to recognize its a **** fight

Let's not forget, even though he looked decent against both, he was also rocked so badly by both of them, he seemingly lost track of reality and mid match went on walkabout two times. Sure he lost to Pacquiao, as I predicted he would, but he also performed exceptionally well in teh second half, and almost did enough to make it a draw. As far as getting rocked by Josesito, yeah... that wasn't his greatest moment, but people also tend to forget, he dropped Lopez early and won basically every other round of that fight. I'm not entirely sure that Lopez wouldn't rock Spence and that Pacquiao wouldn't give Spence issues either.

It isn't the worst fight in the world, but this is the same exact thing promoters do over and over and over again and boxing fans keep putting up with it. They don't give the fans what they want, but can always find a reasonable enough opponent who has a name, is coming off a showing that wasn't awful that they can build up based on what that fighter was 5 years ago but also isn't an actual threat. Boxing fans constantly ok with being served hamburgers and I'm just tired of the predictability of the sport.

I keep saying Usyk and Loma are the light of the boxing world and he who follows them shall never be in darkness.

Never any nonsense with them. No deck-stacking. No A-side, B-side diva shenanigans. No refusing to sign on the dotted line unless they have as many advantages that can be wangled in their favour wangled in their favour so they're essentially rolling with loaded dice. No refusing to travel. No cheating. No weight bullying. No home refs to let them fight to their own set of rules and home judges (sans one judge in the first AJ fight) to turn a L into a W and save their unbeaten records. No trying to weaken opponents at the negotiating table with catchweights and rehydration clauses. No cherrypicking. No ageing opponents out. No ducking and avoiding the best. How often do we see this with their peers and other fighters? It's such a common occurrence that we come to expect it. If every fighter was like them all the fights would get made and the sport would be 1000 times better and more healthy. But y'all support all that malarky and hate on the real ones who tread the righteous path, the path that few others will walk

What makes the least amount of sense is that Thurman was positioned to be Spences mandatory but then they go and make the fight at 154 making that completely moot.

This fight would've been better if it was at 147

It's also way past It's expiration date

If Spence wins I bet he tells Crawford the fight has to be at 154

Thurman at no point was a special fighter. He squeaked past Porter and Danny but that trio was always kind of mid level and not top echelon.

Now this retired Thurman will move up in weight and get walked down. Just stay retired. Ancient Pac dogged this fool lmfaooo

Keithy will have have fought one time (see what I did there?) in almost four years by the time they climb into the ring. Like once in 44 months or something.
