When I judge a win of a fighter, I look at,what did his opponent go into and I look at his past 5 fights.
So here is what I gathered:

I am not talking about how many world champions he beat. Everyone is a champion today, I'm talking about who he beat.

Diego Coralles: Based on his record he seemed pretty overrated,I don't see that many names maybe besides Garcia. He reminds me of Wilder, who just beat a bunch of names and people hyped him up to beat Fury. Also I heard Floyd fought him at a catchweight.

De La Hoya: Who came off of a KO from a body punch by Hopkins and lost a decision Mosley

Castillo: Was a decent win actually. Props Floyd

Hatton: This arguably was a great win, he won Kosta Tzyu and Castillo. Props to Floyd

Marquez: This win is a bit underrated, yes he had a loss to Manny, but he did beat Barrera so decent win.

Cotto: After the first Margarito he was done. Also he was KO'ed by Manny, but I don't give Manny that much credit ofr that either.

Canelo: This is his best win in my book. Amazing.

Maidana: Lost a decision to a no name and lost to freaking Amir Khan.

Paquiao: Manny lost a decision to Bradley and was iced by Marquez.

Floyd was also past his prime in some of these fights, but the thing is a lot of these fighters like Manny style wise was so reliant on youth and they had higher risk fights and went into wars so there's that too.

    if you compare this to say Leonard;

Duran: the 2nd and 3rd time was amazing wins. He fought Duran off of a career defining victory,he could quit for one reason or another, but he lost, that is like saying Mike didn't lose to Holyfield the second time. We could what if,but facts are facts, Duran was undefeated (Avenged his loss) at this point and I know he was the lightweight monster and went to Welterweight but still. He fought Duran the 3rd time off of a win against Barkley,Barkley had a deicison loss against some guy, but look who he beat before Duran beat him and you will forget it.

Hearns: Gave him his first L in a 14 round TKO.

Hagler: Hagler came off of his career defining wins in Hearns,Duran and Mugabi. (this is back and forth, depending who thinks who won,but still).

Benitez: if you wanna go there.

Someone please give me some insight on why Floyd's resume is so great, because I don't know his career enough

Nah too much cherry picking for my liking so for that reason I wouldn't even say his resume is in the top 10 of all time.

Funny how revisionism changes wins doesnt it?
His win over Corrales was way more impressive than canelo.

Its often taking away everything surrounding the fights and judging it on how the opponent is viewed nowadays.

Its like girls in skirts. Its nice and reveals a lot but doesnt tell the full story.

But from what I heard, he beat Coralles either at a catchweight or he was drained according to his trainer. Also, Coralles beating Floyd is the same mentality I had against people who beat Wilder, He knocked out everyone sure, but who did he really knock out? And when he was gonna knock someone out with a name, he himself got knocked out. Tyson Fury defeated Wladimir klitsckho after 10 years of being undefeated and off of wins off of Povetkin and Pulev which were ok to decent fighters at the time. So that is why I question that win

Also at the time Canelo was unproven, true. But he obviously was skilled, but I don't know who would have won if they fought later, probably Floyd though

Many people in the boxing world do not regard Floyds 50-0 record as legitimate. In all reality they feel he should have several losses
    Castillo 1 ...really beat him
Maidana1... made Floyd try to fight till he ended the fight in tears
Judah ..... Should have been DQ'd when Roger charged in ring & attacked Judah
Ortiz ..... Should have been DQ'd when he cowardly cold cocked a defenseless opponent Ref never said box on
McGregor>.... How can you claim a victory over an MMA fighter making his pro boxing debut as your 50-0 win
Pacquaio ...... Fight result should have been changed to a N/C due to the IV gate debacle
These are Just my own personal beliefs & when Ive posted them the vast majority of boxing fans seem to agree Floyd has many dark clouds over his career. In no way could I ever support him.

Floyd ducked Khan to fight a Maidana who he wouldn't let wear horse hair gloves & still lost to him

His resume is excellent and he has terrific wins over some of the best fighters spanning 3 eras, there's no taking that away from him.

Mayweather definitely side stepped Paul Williams & Margarito and, at the back end of his career, he also side stepped khan. All of these would have been difficult match-ups stylistically for him, he's not stupid, he'd have seen this so I don't blame him but to be truly up there you have to test yourself against kryptonite opponents.

Floyd Mayweather was a filthy drug who rigged drug testing, used illegal IV fluids, and had ultra low T/E ratios in several fights.

The Corrales fight was not at a catchweight. But the story says that Corrales was very drained.

Even with the cherrypicking and whatnot, Floyd has a great resume. How good it is historically is another question

I still hated the fact that Ali was dead set to fight Frazier the 3rd time. Or even Norton the 3rd time. I don't understand why he was so dead set on fighting people that were poison to him. Unless these guys were mandatory.

But the problem with Floyd,Aside from Hatton and Canelo. His fighters either came off of extreme loses like getting iced ala Paquiao or drained like Corralles
