Whatever way you look at it, when Conor Benn returns this year, his comeback will be highly anticipated with many people tuning in to seeing him lose. I really hope the Eubank Benn fight doesn’t happen but I see no where it doesn’t in 2024 if not in 2023.

 

People will forget and not give a toss within weeks.

They're going down the route that the first test was contaminated by vada

He passed two UKAD tests around the same time as the first failed vada test.

The second failed test is going to be swept under thr carpet. Benn and his team will throw enough shade on the first test and say the secone test was faulty.

he wont engage with the board or UKAD and will fight again under a new license.

We will never get to the bottom of it sadly. Benn will come back unpunished.

Doubt it. You’ll have 500 Matchroom subscribers tuning in to see him win and everyone else will either not know he’s fighting or not want to pay £8 to watch him knockout whichever ageing super lightweight they put him in with.

 

The whole thing is laughable. Sadly, you are correct. Governing bodies are neutered in boxing. Benn is a cheat that got caught but will get away scot free

Surely if the test process was flawed, surely you'd test the b sample and it would clear him?

The bottles he passes in would be sterile and therefore a b sample would test negative

 

Even though plenty of people are saying VADA aren't a governing body and Benn doesn't need to appeal to them, surely it's in their interest to counter any claims about the legitimacy of their testing. If I were the WBC I'd want to know what VADA thought about the report.
