So it looks like they negotiated directly so no Haymon/Arum to muck it up.

 

Respect to Fulton if he takes the fight and goes to Japan.

Good to see one of the best fights from my wishlist for 2023 already in talks.

But why Japan ? US don't want to pay enough money ?

 

Pleasantly surprised to hear this could be happening. If it does happen props to Fulton, I for one never thought he was ducking, He said in the summer his plan was to try and fight Akhmadaliev and Inoue by the end of the year and if it didn't happen he'd move up and that's exactly what he did when trying to make the Figueroa fight. But as it seems that fight fell through and clearly Inoue is the biggest payday and the best way to break the P4P rankings upper echelons it seems he might want to stick around at 122.

 

Where are all the clowns who were saying Fulton was going up in weight to duck Inoue? It's going to be a lot of hurt feelings when they fight!

 

Hey, I'm super happy they're going to fight. It saves Inoue from having to fight a different guy for the other title, saves a lot of time. 2 for 1 deal.

 

Fulton petitioned the WBC for a fight against Figs at 126. Fulton's team said they didn't need to fight Inoue and that if Inoue wants the fight, he should come to 126.

It wasn't a good look.

I knew without a shadow of a doubt that if Inoue issued a challenge to Cool Boy Steph that it would be answered in a heartbeat because Steph is about that life. Steph bout to show up and show out.
