Well the odd thing is Eubank Jr has been in with much bigger punches than Smith having absorbed the power of a puncher like George Groves and he should with his physical strength be able to manhandle Smith in clinches and on the inside but I do detect the problem was attitude basically fighting a small guy you don’t believe can hurt you.

He's a strange fighter. He has some good attributes, can blow hot and cold at times but he has racked up some fairly good wins inbetween the dross. But ultimately he's not that good. Korobov was hitting him at will and would've schooled him with ease had he not got injured IMO, such was the skill disparity between them, and even against Liam Williams he was hurt a few times and Williams punch resistance was shocking in that fight. Either he was dead at the weight, which I hear he was, or all the punishment he took against Boo Boo ruined his chin because he's usually very durable. He was going down from nothing shots in that one and CEJ is not a big puncher.

Great win for Smith. I wanted him to win until Thursday when he was insinuating Eubank Jr was gay (I used to hate it when that happened to Lennox Lewis and i am a strong ally of the Gay community because my brother is gay and taken a lot of **** for it). I wanted and predicted Eubank to knock him out, but i am glad to be eating a lot of humble pie. Glad to see them embrace at the end and bury the hatchet.

Can't see where Eubank goes from here. He has lost to three British fighters who were world champions and this was a decisive KO. Considering Eubank always made his toughness and once iron chin central to his fight persona, I don't know how he can recover from this. He did an interview a few days ago with the Guardian where he talked a lot about brain damage and his fear of getting hurt, clearly he is no longer as focused on 'living the life' as he once was and paid for it.

He was too old to learn Roy Jones' style.

Eubank for years has hand picked opponents who can't move and stand still in front of him.

    Exposed exposed and exposed.

He's domestic level hyped off his Dads career , anyone else this poor would've been undercard status.... still at least Jnr has earnt some coin, good luck to him ... but he won't be getting a Canelo fight unless Canelo needs a filler & his Dad , like last time won't let Jnr be savaged by GGG , even a OAP one...

Beefy thinks Eubank likes balls on his face, so he gave him one under his right eye.:sisi1

Honestly I think CEJ is cooked. Everything he did was based around being able to take a shot if his game plan came up short. That was his USP. But it's been cracked now and will crack again more easily. Funny that his career somewhat mirrors Roy's albeit at a much, much, much lower level. Namely, gravy train until the chin is checked. We know how this story ends if he boxes on...

Groves is a much bigger guy and puncher than Smith and he did drop CEJ arguably twice in that one albeit the ref chose not to count them as KDs. But Groves was catching him with single shots IIRC whereas Smith caught him with a combination of big accurate ones as he was bobbing and weaving which to be fair was impressive by Smith and showed his ring IQ, craft and accuracy.

Domestic level is nothing to be ashamed of. He's incredibly athletic and has shown a good chin in the past. The shots you don't see cliché` though. No shame in losing to a genuine world level fighter like Liam "Beefy" Smith.
