    There are a lot of Roy haters out there, Olu. He was definitely a good fighter and anyone who says otherwise is a member of that club.

    I admire Toney's slickness. As with Loma, slickness is so much more impressive when you're an aggressive front foot slickster than it is when you're a back foot negative safety first one.

    I equate front foot slickness to crossing a minefield without getting your leg blown off or being able to avoid getting wet in the rain minus an umbrella. Back foot slicksters often have an umbrella and hold a lot, but so many act like the two are comparable when it takes much more skill for one than it does the other. Toney was one of the best front foot slicksters to ever do it too.

    His performance against Toney is the most impressive in ring performance of my lifetime. Only other performance in the same stratosphere was Manny completely thrashing Barrera.

    Toney was zombiefied at the weight and never fought at it again. He was sluggish as hell with zero vitality

    Manny's destruction of MAB impressed the hell out of me. MAB was my favourite fighter back then and I was blown away by the fact Manny was able to do that to him.

    All 3 RJJ, Toney and Loma are all genuinely great fighters that cannot be disputed. Not been a fan of great fighter should not make you a hater. The problem on ESB is sometimes some posters I think actually hate boxers especially great fighters. Why anyone should hate the 3 mentioned is beyond me. It really is. The fact I picked Teofimo Lopez to beat Lomachenko does not mean I hate it was more a case of me seeing certain things which were going to cause him a real problem preventing him from doing his work they way he wants. Let’s not forget we have seen him mentally demoralise world class fighters because during the contest they were perturbed they did not know what to do with him. No one should be hating these guys but the truth is the hatred is because these posters who hate them probably are saddos who hate their own lives. I don’t particularly like Ryan Garcia for his behaviour as you know but No I don’t hate him at all. Why give him the power to make yourself hate him.

    Definitely. Ben Shalom was saying the right things in the build-up, but this looked like an exercise in building CEJ for an eventual money spinner. Smith selected as someone on the decline but having a recognisable name to generate a reasonable return and pave the way for GGG, Benn or whoever in a big summer event. I like Smith but thought they'd get their wish, he didn't look ultra impressive last time out and I thought he'd more miles on the clock that CEJ, whose fitness and chin seemed like it could be the difference.

    I think they'll struggle to make anywhere near as much with Beefy, but hopefully they back him and he can have a last tilt at glory.
