Liam's not just your basic come-forward type of fighter. There's a lot of craft and skill to what he does.

You are his biggest bum licker on here. You frequently made him out to be a wrecking machine who will take over the world. I always laughed and told you what he really was. That’s the tune you have changed.

that’s wrong. Eubank was swinging and missing wildly. Smith had educated pressure and took centre ring instantly against the bigger man. Throwing good variety of shots and Eubank couldn’t cope. 2 uppercuts at the end of the third round and that was it.

Interesting observation. I’m not alone in being shocked by the outcome last night, Smith was what? 10/1 to win by ko? Yeah I’d say it was an upset.

As for young CHRIS being a wrecking machine who will take over the world I’m certain I’ve never said anything like that but feel free to quote me.

He should deal with a feather fisted 154lber and the fact he instead got blitzed by one in a few rounds points to him being a weight drained fighter.
If you predicted that happening, fair play to you.

I’m not on about the Smth fight. I was on about the tune you’d changed before the Smith fight. You always made him out to be something super special who would be world champ. At least you started to see before he got it last night.

I really didn't expect that result.
Smith was obviously the better boxer but I never expected Eubank to be stopped, especially so early.
Just after Eubank had success with that uppercut in previous round aswell

Combination of Smith being good, Eubank weight cutting and lack of decent opposition got him in the end.

Me too. I was being very cautious in the build up. I always wanted this fight but knew it was dangerous because of size. If I had to put my life on it I’d have said Eubank but I could definitely see a Smith win too. I always said Smith is far better in every way except size, chin and hand speed but I thought Smith had the boxing ability to negate some of the hand speed. Based on Eubank having a poor engine I thought If Smith could survive the first few it would turn into his fight as Eubank wouldn’t be able to live with Smith’s pressure and be blowing. I really expected an early onslaught from him, a feeling only strengthened after the press conference and I was expecting a really torrid, nerve wracking few rounds for Smith.

There’s far more money to be made on Eubank and his name, so sadly I really struggled to believe Smith would get a decision. I had a variety of bets on Smith to win by stoppage in the second half of the fight. I could picture Eubank exhausted and Smith going to town head body head body and after being given a few little helping hands from the ref to try and give him a breather he gets stopped. Incidentally, I was delighted to see Loughlin as the ref.

I was so pleasantly surprised when Smith, a notorious slow starter came out and looked at ease instantly and started backing him up and finding a home with shots. I couldn’t believe how relaxed I was from 30 seconds in. At that point for me, barring a robbery it was looking like Eubank only had a punchers chance. For him to put everyone out of their misery so early was lovely. Nobody expected that kind of early win against a solid chin. The bookies will be over the moon. I agree making weight has probably damaged Eubank’s chin. That’s what he gets for trying to weight bully again.
