What would have happend if Eubank jr. fought GGG instead of Liam Smith. Would he have fared better vs an old GGG?
I think we have a better idea now, but either way GGG would have been happy taking this fight & others compared to the fights the fans actually wanted to see him in.
Even old man GGG possesses awesome power and is still dangerous. Eubank is leaving his athletic prime and is wasting it on trying to fight naturally smaller fighters and making silly jokes.
I believe Golovkin would have found that chin sometime before the half way point. Then it would be over.
Seems people are underrating current Golovkin. His performance was underwelming, and he rightfully lost, but compare old Golovkins performance against Canelo with the likes of Smiths, Plants, Saunders, ect. Going from what we saw in the Smith Eubank fight, is there any question that Canelo KO's Eubank? Even this aged and faded Golovkin is relatively holding is own against an elite Canelo. I think the gulf in class would be too much and old G would stop Eubank late.
