They were all talking about Anfield after the fight

Can't see it doing that many tbh

I reckon 30,000 is possible. only if they proper stack the undercard could it do more imo

How mamy tickets would it shift dyou reckon?

There's nothing really to do in Liverpool and Northeners will pay for anything. They even fill out stadiums for average bands like the Courteeners.

But I don't think this sells out Anfield. The first fight wasn't great and Eubank Jr is a busted flush.

Liam Smith vs Golovkin would do a lot better.

The thing is if you do a stadium fight and market it well, all the football fans will attend because you rarely have boxing stadium fights. I don't think it'll sell out but it would do around 40,000 tickets possibly depending on how much of the stadium would be allowed to be open. The Golovkin fight would do more numbers though.

The issue is the main event for me. Eubank can sell a fight but there really isn’t any need for a rematch. Nothing really happened in the first fight. As soon as Smith landed he hurt him and finished him. Hard to see it going differently

Don't think it will sell Anfield out (what is it there 50 odd thousand ?) but can do really well with SKY building it up.

I doubt it tbh. Eubank will have to pull off all of his sales ability to sell a rematch.

It's another of not required rematch's that are harming boxing. Smith smashed him it was competitive and then a conclusive stoppage.
Smith should look for a big fight now. GGG? Might be a bridge to far but he's had a nice rebuild, good money spinning, eye catching win V Eubank why not go for broke? That would probably sell well in Liverpool.

Based on the first result no chance it would struggle to fill the Manchester Arena again. If it was a war it may have done.

The only other way they do it is to group it with the Jonas vs Shields fight. Get the likes of Whittaker, Azim on the card. Maybe Parker against someone credible

The issue is Boxxers stable isnt strong enough currently. Not enough undercard fights that would be able to stack the card. So only way to do it is to lower the prices and literally stick 10+ undercard fights on to rely on local ticket sellers. If they put too many of their names on the card they will be left with lack of headliners on other shows.

If they go that route it would have to be PPV which is another risk

Stadium fights are rubbish aren’t they. The novelty is long gone. It’s a better view and atmosphere in arenas. I don’t really like any fight for this. I don’t want Eubank getting something else he doesn’t deserve. I don’t want Brook coming back after one mismatch with Khan trying to claim the money. I suppose Golovkin would be good but he’s on way down if he wins he was past it and if he gets banjoed which could easily happen it spoils things a bit. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Munguia rematch Smith landed plenty on him maybe without making a dent but the extra weight it could be more interesting. Charlo an option at either weight? I hardly know anything about the world scene these days. I know it doesn’t sell as much but he was always saying he wants another title. He has plenty of money from Canelo and last night, he lives in a Red Rowe ffs seen the price of them!? Rip off haha. So it’s what he wants more world title or easier and more money Brook or Eubank.

I can see Eubank selling more. The amount of girls and other people who know nothing of the sport who’s eyes will have been opened by the other night will be high. They’ll fancy going and there will be a lot of FOMO. I think they’d prefer the chance of Eubank who they’ll have heard of having a chance at redemption more than Gennady who? Brook would take a lot Sheffield is only an hour ish away.

There would be a very good turnout for Liam Smith at Anfield but unlikely to be sold out.
